Which set bonuses can I move?

From the patch notes.

"Players can now remove Armoring modifications that have set bonuses from items and transfer those set bonuses to Custom (orange) items. These modifications can only be transferred to an item that is equipped in the same slot. This does not apply to all items with a set bonus, only those where the set bonus is attached to the Armoring modification."

I tried rakata, columi, and champion and none of the orange items I moved the armor into gave me the set bonus. I didn't try BM because I didn't want to spend another 70k moving them back and forth.

So, what set bonuses do transfer to the orange gear?

I would like to know that too, since i spend, 100k in transfering armorings... is it a bug or only the new tier set armorings have the set bonus attached?

I think we were highly misguided from BW on this matter....

Only the new tiers of gear (Camaign and War Hero) have their set bonuses on the Armoring. The old gear (Tionese, Columi, Rakata, Centurion, Champion and Battlemaster) all of their set bonuses on the shell of the item. This means that you'll need to upgrade your gear to the new sets before you can start mix and matching with appearance. An annoyance, but at least it'll presumably only happen this once, as all future gear will be on Armoring.

Incidentally, if you move, say, a Campaign Armoring into a Battlemaster shell, it'll take on the Armoring's set bonus and override the shell's.

Thanks for stopping me from trying that. lol

Oh well, 5 augments > set bonus(s) anyway, so I still get to look better.

Crafters get your *** in gear!
