Fix the PVP!!

Seriously, enough with the whining about PVP. This game is NOT just about PVP. If you bottled all the rage and all the tears in the past 24 hours, you'd be able to create an entirely new Jupiter-sized planet entirely out of water and then launch the ZOMGPVPISBROKEN/UNSUB crowd to it.

It's a content update. Not everything is going to work as expected, even with incredible diligence and thousands of hours of testing. Just when you think you've tried every single possible combination and worked out every last bug in your code, bam, someone comes along and tries something just a TINY BIT different and breaks the whole thing again.

Does it suck that they removed Ilum? Sure. Does it suck that ranked warzones didn't make it in? Honestly, not really - it's nothing more than an epeen festival. Not being able to queue 8-man premades? Yeah, that one hurts - nothing worse than getting in there with 4 of your buds and the other 4 on your side spend the entire match running around like epileptic Jawas on a 3-day bender while your team gets steamrolled.

Yet these things happen, even in the 11th hour. Your coders have been at it round-the-clock for the past 9 days straight, existing off of Mountain Dew, Funyuns, powdered donuts, Red Bull, and Pizza. They're all punchy, but they're throwing everything they have at it to try to make the deadline. Then it arrives and they still aren't done.

Do you delay new content, literally hundreds of bug fixes, and things that more than 2/3 of your playerbase is interested in? Or do you pull the unfinished section? It's a hard call, and there's no winning either way frankly. Pull one section and you seriously piss off 1/3 of your userbase. Delay the entire thing AGAIN, though, and you likely piss off ALL of them.

So, they rolled the dice. They got so much rage they threw free time around like it's candy - but only to those who were at level 50. Well, now they've hacked off the pre-order and been-here-since-beta crowds, some of whom still aren't at 50.

Here's the real fun part - every MMO, and I do mean all of them, have bugs. Every one of them experiences issues when new things are released. Patch days in WoW meant "tonight's a good night to go out". Patch days in EQ2 meant "oh goody, we get to raid to replace our gear again - after they get the game stable in a month."

At the end of the day, they didn't say they were scrapping ranked warzones. They said they want them done right, and right now, they aren't. So much rage and tears for not getting them put in - and yet there would be just as much rage and tears if they went in and weren't worth a sack of Hutt's nuts because they were beyond broken.

Give it a rest already.

Actually the enitrety of the game is about PvP and Warzones after hitting level 50 because the credits from them are a good way to repair your armor.
