Different region of the wolrd - different maintance times

So right now you scheduled maintenance around for north america, which is good but you also neglect players from europe due to the time difference.

So if something start at 12 am at north america, it is already 7-8 am in europe.

So may I ask would it be possible to change that, for north america it would be 12 AM CDT and for europe 12 am GMT ?

Would it be possible, it would create a great convenience for european players.

Since we wouldn't need to wait till 12 a.m. , 1 p.m. or even 2 p.m. for logging into a game, when our american counterpart can log in much sooner compared to their time zone.

If you could implement this, it would be a great change.

Of course not important as others but also a great change.

Cheers,

Sew

You're moaning even though maintenance happens in the mornings? Be lucky you're not in australia, they have their maintenence during primetime. You don't need to play this game 24/7

So I shouldn't moan about this. I think I should mate. Barely no one is online in 4 am but wait lets do maintaince when people start to wake up. A great business medal no doubt.

In warcraft maintance starts normally around 4 am. This wasn't a big deal since normally most people are asleep at that time.

Have you seen a rage of warcraft players when they couldn't log in for 2 hours.

That happeneds when you cannot log when extenended maintenance happends.

All I want is for this game to improve and all I get is fanboy wrath.

I don't believe this is feasible because TOR has one client version and one server version.

Imagine if one set of servers (US-located, for example) are patched and another set (Europe-located) aren't. What happens if you connect to a US server, which patches your client, then you try to connect to a Europe-located server?

Solutuons sould have to include multiple clients installed at once, wich means lots more disk space taken up as well as a lot more development time.

What they should do is stagger the time throughout the month. For example, first Tuesday of the month patch at 2:00am CDT, second Monday 5:00am CDT, third Monday 8:00am CDT, and so on. That way every part of the globe is inconvenienced but only for some weeks of the month.

It would tell me : cannot connect to the server to different game version.

It is a few hours most so I do not see the problem.

servers of tor are already located in different parts of the world so why you can't click shutdown button on better date, instead of global shutdown.

if they did rolling maintainence on the servers people would have alts on the EU/A-pac/US servers just so they can keep playing while their regions servers are down this would quickly fill all the A-Pac servers as there are only 3 and the maintainence is also done on the log in server (which there is only 1) which if the EU/A-Pac servers were up and logged in while US were down could create a bug within the game which would lead to more bugs. as i have played a lot of MMO's i know the length of time the servers are down is the biggest pain but once a week for global downtime is good if they did rolling downtime (i.e. one week go down at US PST 12:00am then the next week go down on 12:00am UTC then the next week go down at 12:00am AEST and so on and so on) this would also have the US players know what we have to wait for when they can just be asleep during downtime while its down on our primetime
