HeavensAgent Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 You think Humans have it bad? Consider Zabrak. You have to level two characters to the cap to unlock all variations of the species, one Imperial and one Republic.
HeavensAgent Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Not to mention from inquisitors, slave brandings.I don't think they get unlocked, though. They're tied directly to the class story, after all.
Jandi Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) You think Humans have it bad? Consider Zabrak. You have to level two characters to the cap to unlock all variations of the species, one Imperial and one Republic. No. You unlock everything with one char, imp and republic. This has been stated multiple times. Every option for that species, I mean. Edited April 10, 2012 by Jandi
CelCawdro Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 hmm...an option where only humans could wear both hoods and masks at the same time? Something like the kallig codex in the inquisitor line? lol jk.. but seriously idk. Something better than 100 presence and tattoos...it just seems like a terrible reason to level a human to 50. "Oh boy! I got my human to 50! Now I can have tattoos as a republic and even better 100 presence for my companions forever!" Just very..unrewarding. New race for every class or tattoos and 100 presence... In other words, you don't like it personally and therefore believe that no one else does, either. And you have nothing better to suggest.
Jandi Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I don't think they get unlocked, though. They're tied directly to the class story, after all. Yes, yes they do.
Nyteblades Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 No. You unlock everything with one char, imp and republic. This has been stated multiple times. Yep your right if you lvl a toon to 50 it unlocks both sides customizations.
HeavensAgent Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Yep your right if you lvl a toon to 50 it unlocks both sides customizations.Really? I wonder why they decided you have to purchase them desperately.
HeavensAgent Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Yes, yes they do.Then what species unlocks them? The brands are common to all Inquisitor species. Does getting any character of those species to 50 unlock the brands? Does it have to be an Inquisitor you get to 50? How does that work?
Jandi Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Then what species unlocks them? The brands are common to all Inquisitor species. Does getting any character of those species to 50 unlock the brands? Does it have to be an Inquisitor you get to 50? How does that work? I don't know, I'm not a dev nor have I played on the PTS. They've said multiple times, clear as day, that reaching 50 with a species will unlock EVERY conceivable customization option available for that species from both factions. No ifs, buts of maybes. So I assume it means every Inq species unlocks them. I can't know for sure though.

Does getting any character of those species to 50 unlock the brands? Does it have to be an Inquisitor you get to 50? How does that work? I dont think they will unlock the slave brands. As all inq races get them. They are more class related than race.
Jandi Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I dont think they will unlock the slave brands. As all inq races get them. They are more class related than race. So are SW and BH tattoos. I think you unlock everything because they've said everything.
zElmTree Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 In other words, you don't like it personally and therefore believe that no one else does, either. And you have nothing better to suggest. You are right and wrong. True, I don't like it personally because like I said I leveled 3 classes human raced to 50 BEFORE they announced their plans with legacy. Maybe (but I'm not holding it against them) if they announced plans or a direction they were to be going with legacy before launch date(not just say there was a legacy path? tree? thing? and further details will be released after release date 12/20/11) I would have made a character who wasn't human just so I could have that race unlocked for everyone. False: Not once in any of my comments have I said or believe that no one else likes it personally. Go ahead, read all my comments (except this one now lol) $5 if you can find me say one time I believe everyone hates this human legacy race bonuses of 100 presence and tattoos.
HeavensAgent Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 OK, then, back to Zabrak: did the developers ever directly address them and how they unlock? The game currently treats Imperial Zabrak and Republic Zabrak as two separate species. I've been looking for something that will confirm the previous statement, but I'm coming up with nothing.

You state, unequivocally, that humans aren't getting enough through the legacy system. You do not state that you want more, personally. You do not state that it might be enough for others. You simply state that they aren't getting enough, period. You are speaking in absolutes, thereby asserting that your statement applies absolutely. You need not overtly state it, as your tone and grammatical already does so.

Yes but in the end of my post I left a question, wondering if everything I previously stated was wrong and I was missing something in my readings of 1.2 legacy update where they talk about race unlocks. Then I went on to say if there is something please tell me because I do not know. What you say is true about my comments and the first part of my post, however that also was when I believed the only thing humans received for reaching lvl 50 was the presence bonus and tattoos. Which leads me to my next question... So say I am a sith inquisitor human and I get to 50, does that mean I unlock sith brandings for all HUMAN classes? Now say I also have a HUMAN bounty hunter who is lvl 50. Do I unlock the bounty hunter specific tattoos for all HUMAN classes? So now if I decide to make a human jedi knight I can have both slave branding AND bounty hunter tattoos if i so desired?

Where did the statement about Human Warrior tats being unlocked originate? Was it a developer statement, or something the community came up with on its own?

Yes, they did. Either at 50 will unlock every customization from both sides. Just like Twi'leks and Cyborgs. It was said in the guild summit, one of the weekly Q&As and some other interviews. No, I don't bookmarks and scribble down every word that they say so you're going to have to either take my word for it or find the direct quotes in the guild summit video. Just skip to the legacy part of it, one of the devs explicitly say so. No, it was a dev that said that you unlock EVERYTHING possible for that species, regardless of class. I don't know how much clearer you can be when you say everything. If you don't believe me, stop asking for clarifications and go look it up yourself. Edited April 10, 2012 by Jandi

First I heard of it was actually on this post...but then again before this post I believed humans received nothing outta the legacy system. So as far as I know tats unlock is true.
Asturias Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I'm not sure if anyone has made a post about this yet but is it just me or is the human race being screwed over in the 1.2 patch? More specifically the new legacy class races aka chiss jedi knight/sith pureblood smuggler etc. Every class can be human right? For me I leveled 3 classes to 50 but they are all human. So what, no special perks for me? No transferring my race to a class that previously could not have been used by my race? Oh wait! Every class could be used by humans! If I was a sith pureblood and lvl 50, now I can make a sith pureblood jedi knight! But since I'm human, that whole race transfer system basically doesn't exist because every class is already playable by humans. My point is I think humans (who reach lvl 50) should get something special too for new alts they make, just as other races can now use their race in different classes. Maybe a new perk, something. Just feel like humans are being left out. Unless I'm completely wrong and there actually is something in which case please tell me! Everyone new the legacy was going this direction even if BioWARE didn't put it out on the table. It not hard to figure out the direction. I like it makes for unique characters and its your fault you picked a common race in the galaxy. I suggest you start creating a Chiss BH/Agent.
Kunda Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Humans have the most impactful reward for Legacy in terms of actual game performance. It is by far the best Legacy reward for races.
ConradLionhart Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I am very intrigued by what Gabe said, where you can use your companion for hardmode FPs. Can companions become that strong?
Bluelion Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Anyone know if the 100 presence boost can be applied more than once? Like if you have 3 level 50 humans, do you get 300 or is it capped at 100?
zachbuford Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Humans have the most impactful reward for Legacy in terms of actual game performance. It is by far the best Legacy reward for races. Exactly, and though my two 50s are aliens I will still buy the legacy +100 presence because that is simply a HUGE buff for leveling characters. While leveling your companion is your greatest tool. OP: if you leveled three toons to 50 then why in the world does it matter to you if other people get species unlocks for their main. You obviously favor humans so I don't see why it matters to you at all. Humans get the ONLY bonus usable in combat. I'm sorry to say it but please grow up and look at it from a more mature perspective.

It's insufficient for what you're claiming, though, which is why I was asking if there were any more. The statement in question doesn't address class customizations in any way; it mentions a species' customizations, specifically. I think we've been misleading ourselves.

When someone says everything it means everything but you will soon see that I was right. No point in this. It's going to be out, most likely, in 2 days anyways so whatever.
