Is there still a biochem requirement for reuseable stimpacks?

Last I heard in an interview Bioware was going to remove this requirement but I've seen on the ptr there still is one out there.

Is Bioware planning any solution for this in regards to pvp? The reason the reusable ones are so powerful in pvp is because using regular in a wz is unsustainable, and its roughly a 3-5% dps decent boost over not having one.

My last character I rolled has Artifice and I really want to keep it, but if there is no other reusable stimpack solution I just may have to dump it for Biochem. I really dont want to do this, but it improves performance too much to not.

So are pvp'ers still going to be pigeon holed into Biochem or not?

BoE stims persist through death.

This means that you can use one, and you will have an active stim for 2 hours that is just about equal to the reusable stim.

The only strict advantage that Biochems have is a large wallet, since they don't have to buy theirs constantly.
