G-Girl Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Oh, I am so so SO BORED of dropping straight out of a cut scene into a melee attack, dying, and then coming back and winning easily because it's not actually that hard a fight if you get a chance to fight it on your terms. I'm sure there is little difference if you are a melee class, but if you're a healer or long range specialist then it gets very old very fast. My suggestion: Please, please vary these things a bit so that it's not always a penalty if you're not melee. Try an alternative that is more of a challenge to melee and less problematic for long range, or DPS, or healers, just to even things up a bit. In the meantime, I think I'll just go roll a tank.
Cerion Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I agree. It was/is quite annoying for some classes. With my smuggler, though, I drop a flash grenade like a ninja, and dash for cover, haha. That seems to solve the cut scene ambush. Great way to describe it, btw. One character I played was so vulnerable to these ambushes that I pretty much just let him die. I'd learned early on that wasting all my big cds was a waste only to die anyway and not have them for the second attempt.
