Goshee
Awesome summary of skills! Thank you. Quick question that I cannot seem to find an answer for. Armor on orange custom gear, I don't get it. Is it supposed to scale or something? I took two epic quality mods that I got in a epic chest piece and put them in a orange custom piece because I liked the look of the orange piece better (isn't that the point). I also put a nice blue mod I bought with commendations in it. The end result was better stats then the epic chest but the armor was horrendous. Epic had 280 armor and the orange had 6? So in the end I have 3 orange chest pieces yet I do not want to use any of them because the armor is so low compared to blues or even greens I get while leveling. Is there something I am missing? You won't receive any armour until you place an armour mod into the Armoring mod slot.
Goshee
quick question. On one of my characters I somehow have 1 craft skill and 3 gathering skills, I do not recall picking up the 3rd but oh well. It is at lvl 0 and I can see the mission selection for it. Is this a bug or ? I believe this is a known bug. Ignore the 3rd as it will no doubt be removed.
Darslk
Very nice guide, thanks for putting it up! Hopefully you'll be able to answer this, as I haven't found any information related to it. My slicing skill is currently 310 and I'm able to do up to lv 48 missions. However, regardless of the expected yield (ie moderate, abundant etc), my companions always retrieve the most money from lv 33-40 lockbox quests. I will consistently get lockboxes with 2k-5k in them, but in lv 41-48 lockbox quests the money received is about 1.5k give or take. Do you know why? Hopefully I explained this well, thanks again! Obi-GYN-Kinobi
Great guide, but i got a question. What are research compounds for? Researched Compounds are for Armstech. Check out the following diagram for the names of all mats and where they come from / where they go. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=58094
Blaen
This is an awesome guide, I'll stick my hand up and say that I was 100% confused by Crew Skills before reading this, now I am happy to say I am much more confident with them and my selections thus far. Cheers Edited December 22, 2011 by Blaen

The_Anf
I'm a little confused on one point I can have 3 gathering skills at one time and 3 mission skills and 1 crafting? or I can have a total of 3 gathering, crafting and mission skills but only 3 total It seems dumb that I have to reroll another character just to do other crafts...when I just want to be able to do them all. I like crafting not so much levelling.

You can have a total of 3 skills at any one time. Which can be made up of any combination of the following: 0-3 Gathering skills 0-3 Mission skills 0-1 Crafting skills

StrongDawn
I have a question: Say if I'm rolling a Jedi Knight and a Jedi Counsilor, and for both I decided to go with these skills at any one time: ArcheologyArtificeTreasure Hunting Will my missions be exactly the same across the class and will the loot gathered be the same/similar, or is each crew mission geared towards the class specialisation with unique mission quests? (I ask this because I'm under the impression that crew skills can also open-up story missions, or have I understood this wrong?)

(I ask this because I'm under the impression that crew skills can also open-up story missions, or have I understood this wrong?) All crew skills give the same materials/reward no matter what faction or class you play. It would seem a waste to take the same three on each character. Instead I would recommend taking those three one one, then perhaps slicing, synthweaving and any mission skill you want. Slicing has a chance to give you crew skill missions for each crew skill (gathering and mission). These aren't story missions where they require you to go battle something. If that is what you mean ^^
DeathSpeach
What i would like to know if there is a way, or if they can add a way to queue up gathering/mission crew skills.
Estivo
My question is : how long are the cooldowns on learned missions? Yesterday I've bought 3 schemathics for my treasure hunting, sent all companions on them over a night and the results were astonishing. So now I cant see them on mission list, are there by any chance usable just once? Edited December 24, 2011 by Estivo

If you are talking about the bonus missions that come from slicing they are only good for one run then they disappear from your list.

It's just something BW will look into soon enough.. If you can't click it theres really not much you can do to make it appear properly.. Sorry man!
