I don't mean this as a flame - all in all, the game is exciting and fun. However, there are several things that my jaw just drops at how bad the design is.

Orange gear - should never have been introduced. First, it destroys 2 of the 5 crafting skills. Nobody expects crafting skills to help VERY MUCH in endgame, they're more about leveling up. But with orange gear, there's almost no point at all to armormech or armsmech. It even means you can go 1-50, never set foot in a flashpoint or heroic, and you'll have "ok" gear. The 1.2 "fix" is no fix at all, really. Augments aren't THAT big a deal, I've gone from 1-400 and got maybe 3 crits. Yes, that's seriously unlucky, but I don't think I want to waste matts with THAT kind of probability staring me in the face.

The easy availabilty of armor/hilts/barrels/mods. To be fair, you wrecked the two more craft skills as well. You get them left and right with quest rewards, you can simply buy them with commendations.

Social gear. Guys, seriously, this is the worst thing you could have possibly done. First, it's absurdly easy to hit social 1, which lets you buy head to toe oranges (see orange gear above). But you then restricted it to the arguably easiest AC's to level. In the mean time the unarguably worst (sw/jk) are left out in the cold. Honestly, it makes me sad that any reasonable person could have come up with something better in 30 minutes. "Fully modable oranges for level 10's? no, let's do this, social 1 gear has only 1 mod slot, social 2 can have mod and armor, social 3 can have all 3. Easy.

But honestly, light armor only? What were you guys thinking? Easy mode gear for the most powerful leveling classes?

I'm not going to talk about pvp except to say that guys, you made a mistake even wow didn't make. Roots ********MUST********* have some sort of DR in addition to breaking on some portion of damage, and that portion should be low.

The game is buggy, but honestly, anything before about 1.3 I'd expect tons of bugs. But the above isn't bugs as much as serious design flaws.

So this is your honest opinion, eh? The 'imho' tag somehow gives it more veracity than others?

Let me ask you, do you always use the 'imho' tag? In those cases that you don't use 'imho', are you giving a less than honest opinion?

I think it's ridiculous when people tag their threads with 'in my honest opinion'. As if this somehow gives it more credibility than everyone else's opinion, which presumably aren't honest by default.
