mskinner
I have been talking to some people who have played SWG and also did a little research on this class. I would love to see Teras Kasi Class added to the empire side as well as Yoda's race for the republic side to draw some more people to the pub side. VanorDM
Yoda's race for the republic side to draw some more people to the pub side. That won't happen. Apparently George won't let anyone actually do anything with Yoda's race, including coming up with a name for his race or home planet. There are some cases where they're allowed to make a NPC of sorts, but that's about it.
Listerman
I can see Teras Kasi as they used it in the Saga Edition pen and paper game, as a Fighting Stance like the force users Lightsaber forms. Possibly for BH's and Troopers. Maybe Warriors and Knights as well. But not it's own class.
bloodygustav
I hope you're trolling. If not I'll lay out a few things for you. A: Yoda's race will never EVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER be playable. Ever. George Lucas himself won't let it happen. B: Teras Kasi class...albeit any jokes about Mists of Pandaria, the practicality in battle aspect wouldn't work either. At least a strictly Teras Kasi class wouldn't work. What's that? A martial art expert charging at you from across the battlefield...*points gun and shoots him dead*. However if you mix Teras Kasi with something else it could very work. Blend it into some sort of advanced class and then you might have something. But what would the default/mother class be? And what would be it's mirrored class? But that said, I don't really like the idea of a Teras Kasi class. Maybe some quests to train a couple moves that anyone can learn, but not an actual class. Listerman
If they DID make a class...it would be in expansion. Because class equals storyline and companions, to throw that out there. Edited April 6, 2012 by Listerman

A: Yoda's race will never EVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER NEVER EVER NEVER be playable. Ever. George Lucas himself won't let it happen. Game over. You lose. Thar be a Yoda, in-game, and playable. Not a mod. So apparently Lucas will do anything for enough money (because we didn't know that already...) HeavensAgent
If they DID make a class...it would be in expansion. Because class equals storyline and companions, to throw that out there. It would also mean a complete restructuring of every planet in the game, to accommodate the class storyline. It's because of this that I doubt we'll ever see new classes in this game.

So apparently Lucas will do anything for enough money (because we didn't know that already...)No he right. That's a case were you're actually playing as Yoda. Yoda's Species has not been offered for player characters in any game, and it won't be until Lucas kicks the bucket. Possibly not even then; considering how protective he is of everyone's favorite diminutive green Jedi Master, he's probably got something written into his will on the subject. It's because of this that I doubt we'll ever see new classes in this game. Don't be so sure. It's not so impossible to plop a few structures or caverns with phasing doors. We'd probably also get a new starting planet out of it. And more planets is nice. ...I'm also curious what kind of ship a martial artist would get... Then again, and I'm thinking out loud...what faction? No way in hell they'd do a neutral faction class. So what would be the mirror?

But he won't let any officially name his species or write lore about it and he won't let millions of people make characters of said race and run around as it. PS: In my first post I did say "yoda's race" not Yoda himself thus I still win. suck it! C:< Edited April 6, 2012 by bloodygustav

VanorDM
owned Yoda has been in a few games, Yoda's race however is a different thing. GL won't let anyone expand on Yoda's race. That means you will never see his race being playable in any sort of RPG. This is, once again not the same thing as having Yoda as a playable character in some games. bloodygustav
Operative isn't much more than a knife fighter... Yes, but it's an advanced class. Not a knife fighter stand alone default class so it still has gun shooting skills. Yoda has been in a few games, Yoda's race however is a different thing. GL won't let anyone expand on Yoda's race. Urothefox
Ehh I'd rather a Warden of the Sky. They are a non-Jedi Force-using tradition that roams the spaceways making them safe for travelers. Think Kwai Chang Caine meets an air marshall. They popped up in the PnP Saga edition games and were pretty cool. A lot less restricting than boring old Jedi or Sith, but still with an interesting flare. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wardens_of_the_Sky Not sure what the "Empire" version would be. Maybe some kind of pirate? I think there is a group of Force-using pirates out there in the PnP
HeavensAgent
Don't be so sure. It's not so impossible to plop a few structures or caverns with phasing doors.Yeah, but they'd still have to rebuild the planets around these areas. They'd have to shift stuff around, reorganize, and restructure open-world areas to accommodate for non-instanced objectives as well.

Listerman
Yeah, but they'd still have to rebuild the planets around these areas. They'd have to shift stuff around, reorganize, and restructure open-world areas to accommodate for non-instanced objectives as well. There's nothing saying they couldn't repurpose a few for a new class. If player is the class, then the game data indicates that then this particular phase will switch to this or that. There are ways to make it work, if they so chose to. And if they did reformat a few worlds...Hey as long as they leave my Dune Sea alone, they can do what they wish. Lack of faith in your developers, much do I sense in you. Surprised, you might be, or may not. Hard to see, the future is.
