Crafting vs "CLASS MISSONS" (NON-JEDI/SITH)

no....... but i do think bioware missed a perfect opportunity with both BH and smuggler to do something totally unique, two playable classes that are not loyal to either faction, think of the story and pvp options that could present.

 

 

This is something that you could nearly do in Star Wars Galaxies. I think it would be genius if you took the above concept and mixed it with those particular classes having "class missions"

 

 

Smuggler:

 

1. Talk to said npc and smuggle goods/weapons/armor skins/ to another faction

 

The mission could be simple and repeatable like a daily. I find it very interesting to think that because only certain items can be "crafted" other items should only be able to be gotten or acquired by factions of the opposite from an Agent/Smuggler. The rewards would be high.

 

You would get the mission on your ship. (of course duh) You would then get a encrypted message from your holo terminal after getting the info you travel to another ship. You get out of your ship and stealth/sneak your way into an enemy lair or fight whatever is your style and grab the loot. (bonus for sneak/stealth) After you get it you bring it to your ship and then travel to a neutral in space cantina were both factions could hang out. Yes I say this because it is not an Empire HQ or Republic HQ. This would be a neutral HUTT controlled point. Duels would be allowed in an arena where you could 1v1 and even other players could watch and place bets and the winner would take a portion of the bet credits.

 

Upon delivery you would receive a consumable item that is bound to you and gives you a bonus to cunning in addition to endurance making you very hard to kill. (think adrenaline or something) You would also receive a one time use consumable stealth "no matter what" for a short burst similar to what already can be gotten but of course there is no cd just once its used its gone.

 

Bounty Hunter

 

1. Talk to said npc and take a bounty on the person of same faction (allowing a duel in any area even the imperial fleet, spice it up a bit)

2. Talk to said npc and take a bounty on the opposite faction, it would be ranked by valor once you get to a certain point you will get a dialogue option, saying you have now reached battle master, if you wish to activate a player bounty challenge go to _blank_ terminal/waypoint and submit it.

 

 

This could also be done in a more role playing game way. For example:

 

The quest unlocks after battle master. It says incoming transmission from the republic/empire on planet _insert_ travel to planet and head to waypoint to investigate (we are bounty hunters after all)

 

You travel to the waypoint. and find the terminal after fighting your way through some tough imperials (this would be done each time you wish for a player bounty) Once inside you find the computer and activate. A window comes up and says

 

 

WARNING - by investigating this transmission you are at risk in becoming an enemy of The Republic/Empire and a player bounty will be placed on your head. Continue?

 

 

Please help develop this idea but stay on topic. Don't troll this forum. This would be something really cool. If you have to troll please view the questions listed below and try to answer only those questions and they are pretty much covering a reason to reply to this.

 

What I want to know from the player base is.

 

1. How could this be tweaked to ensure balance?

2. How could every class have a class specific mission?

3. Can you create a more advanced detailed version of the above post?

4. Can you create a detailed version for every class?

5. Why do you like this idea?

6. Why don't you like this idea?

7. Can you create a sith/jedi version?
