Andryah
Aymi: You guys are including a whole bunch of things to motivate us to reroll and unlock stuff through Legacy, but if I’m playing on one server because the community is great, I’ll be limited to eight characters. You said during the Guild Summit you were going to think about it at some point, any update on that? Daniel Erickson: We are 100% committed to providing more character slots per server in the future but unfortunately we’re not ready to talk about how that will work. What is there to talk about? You either add slots or you don't. And Bioware seriously wonders why the community is up in arms and outraged at the games current status? Why wouldn't you be ready to tell folks that have already leveled alts and basically got screwed out of anything legacy related to those alts... that there's some hope on the horizon of free slots. If you want people to stay Subscribed to the game, giving some ACTUAL ANSWERS will go pretty far. This cryptic BS is not helping any situation. I was neither up in arms nor outraged by their response on this. So they are not yet ready to formally announce the method and process to the members so that they can rip it to shreds for a million different reasons. DamenX
So much of the end-game is getting ignored in these Q & A's. We've yet to hear how the pvp system is going to advance.. will it ever have an arena system? 2v2, 3v3, etc? How about operation content. We started with EV and KP each with 5 bosses.. many have touted explosive conflict was supposed to have 6 bosses but it ends up being only 4 actual "boss encounters" because 2 are simply 2-boss encounters. Are we expected to truly progress and farm on such a small operation? As raiders we've all burned ourselves up on EV/KP and now what we have to look forward to is a smaller operation. The legacy system is fun but when it comes down to it it simply has no bearing in endgame and right now the endgame seems like it's being put WAY behind the "fun legacy" system you've developed. And number 2 that is a huge topic on forums and on servers is.. realm merging. Is it happening? When can we look forward to it? Populations are getting lower fast, some people are posting very sad numbers for their servers during peak times. While I personally commend you on an amazing launch and keeping queue times to a minimum it's obvious now that there was an overshot of servers and now the people on the very light servers are paying the price. Please give us more diverse answers, we love the game and we obviously want to be involved as a community but it's rough when the things we play the game for appear to be a much lower focus than other things. Summary: more answers about pvp endgame, operation endgame, server merges. Thanks. Definetly agree .. seriously all of these questions could simply be answered by watching the vids they released over the last week. And is there seriously only 4 bosses in the new operation!? If thats true then i honestly am done with this game. I really have zero interest in this legacy **** as it will become extremly boring after a day of playing with it and it will just be there like the valor system. Pvp changes sound okay but imo useless unless cross realm is introduced god knows when. This is suppose to be the patch that helps this game. 4 bosses to last us what .. another 4 months ? I guess we'll have to slow are progression down so we kill one boss a month so we dont burn out to quick huh?
KurganNazzir
So they are not yet ready to formally announce the method and process to the members so that they can rip it to shreds for a million different reasons. That and they may be trying to decide how to sell extra slots (just conjecture on my part since I don't work there). My only experience with getting extra slots is in one game where they came with paid expansions packs until micro-transactions were added, which then let you buy the slots with the in-game points. This game doesn't have MTs and who knows when the first Xpac will be so other than that, how do they sell slots? Maybe they could do it through out acct management here but that would have to be implemented from scratch, I'm sure; plus they would have to work out how people could pay because not everyone has paypal, credit/debit cards, or whatever. Also, they currently have a cap on how many character we can have per server and total so they would have to change that. In shorter words: It's not as simple as one might think. Karl-Just-Karl
Still cannot tell if the new orange RE-ing/augment slot crafting scheme is just for raid stuff or will be as broadly applicable as described crafting devlog.
Gazzaho
My question, which I've asked before, is this. Is there any intent to fix the sound in this game? A lot of discussion is going on about Legacy, nerfing and gear changes, some issues I agree with, armor needs to have a total overhaul mostly in looks, the best gear in my opinion should be crafted for instance. I don't know how widespread sound issues are across the board, but I'm not the only one that's posted complaining about it. Content, gear and balancing may be the priority for a large number of the games population, but I believe hardware issues and bugs, that to be honest, shouldn't be present in the game at this stage should be the top priority. From what I've read there are bugs still present which were reported in beta. FPS issues which players report make Ilium unplayable, I haven't reached that far yet so can't confirm if I'm experiencing that problem. All I've read so far is how "we're" introducing this content and introducing these features, but no mention of fixing sound and other game ruining problems. I've yet to see one official response relating to fixing the mess called sound effects in this game, or I should say the lack of sound effects. Ticket responses with "we will pass your input to the relative department" are unhelpful and insulting to be honest. At the moment I'm waiting to see what improvements 1.2 bring, but to be honest I'm close to pulling the plug, I don't really want to, but playing with constant irritating muting of sound and bugs like the disappearing balloon on Tatooine to mention one of many make me question the price I'm paying for a monthly subscription. Flexnsmash
And none of the questions you asked are involved in 1.2 soooo...sorry? I'm surprised so many people are complaining about this. Damned if you do, etc, I suppose. Okay? Last I checked the Q&A's were never limited to 1.2. We are talking about the continuation of where this game is headed. Nothing about my comments are/were hostile, they are purely for knowledge and what my guild and raiders are all concerned about. Since the start of my raid leading in ToR I've had 14 people (almost all of them friends from other games) unsub because of content being too easy, bugs, server population, lack of organized small number pvp, or simple disinterest. The people I'm continuing to play with are all having the same questions and issues arise but we want the game to succeed so we continue playing and hope some of these very pressing matters get answered. If you're going to try and make a useful comment back to mine at least put it in context. Look over the last 2 Q&A's and see what % of each one was legacy, endgame ops, endgame pvp. It's highly favoring legacy which most end game people have little to no interest in. Hopefully a few devs find some time to answer these questions soon, I know it'll be much appreciated by the community as a whole.
Demarco
Well from what I read, this Legacy Patch is going to make the crafters a viable part of the game. That's a positive... Each line has it's own niche and they are all required to make things work properly to maximize your gear's potential specs. Finally, there is a reason to grind out a crafting skill and to really work it out so you understand what you are doing. That is the one key element from the Legacy Patch I know will make some people very happy. This on going discussion about server populations is troubling, it seems a bit too soon for the game to be suffering from subscriber fatigue but I must admit I have thought about cancelling myself. For the simple reason that I have made 3 level 50 toons and PvP'ed to death. My attempts to group into 4 man or 8 man groups for ops are fruitless and my guild is as dead as Jimmy Hoffa. So the shine is off the apple just a bit, the upcoming patch has my attention for now so I hang in and hope that will change things a bit. But it won't change the inability to form groups for ops. That will take players that want to take time to run them. That is apparently missing from this equation here. I truly miss some of the old days on the other Star Wars game, that community never left me hanging.
pangwl
I'm still abit confused... So can someone clarify for me, what will indeed happen to Champion gears? I mean I thought it'll just be retained but players won't be able to get them anymore? Now, I'm seeing/ reading that it'll automatically be downgraded to Recruit gear ? I thought it was only the BM set that automatically switches over unless the mods/ enchs were modified?
Rikalonius
The change is armoring is a huge step in the right direction. My Columi gear is starting to grow on my BH, but I absolutely freaking hate the Sith Inquisitor gear. Wow does someone at BioWare have a poor sense of aesthetics. Still I personally can't wait to get back into a standard Bounty Hunter heavy armor look. Speaking of that, I see nothing was said about Heavy and Medium armor social? That seems like an easy fix, have it affected by the armoring mod. Still, we need some better social gear that what is out there. As I think about it, I have another question. Will you be able to move a medium armor, STR armoring mod out and put it into a Heavy Armor piece?
Lord_Karsk
Again a Q&A with nothing new. What i got from this was nothing new. Nothing on server merge because of dead servers No real star wars gear until 8-12 month maybe... No new char slots until 5-12 months(MT) No hood option up or down. And most players cant afford all the legacy stuff or changing mods so the rich will get more credits and everyone else will re roll and not have enought character slots to do it. Well STO taught me one thing, when all you can do is re roll it's time to move on.Players like me only care about endgame witch is the real game not making alts to get a few pve perks. Cryptic did the same thing with engineering reports were stahl would lie every month for over a year promise the same things over and over just to keep on the subs they had. That was two years ago and those things are still not in the game.Sry but when burned to many times............. Glzmo
Okay. Why the heck are you always using armor that isn't even available to players in the game in your promo pictures? The hood down version of the Jedi Battlelord's Armor is once again used in this Q&A while there is only the hood-up version. It's similar to the 1.2 promo shots in the launcher. Are you planning to add the /hood command to switch hood up/down in Game Update 1.2? Yeah, I didn't think so. A really bad tease, then. Would have certainly made better endgame gear than some of the other stuff we got.

Asphen
It was super cool that they picked one of my posts: Asphen: Can we get an option to turn off the combat error text in the center of my screen? Damion (Principal Lead Systems Designer): We will be looking at adding the ability to move and/or turn off banner text and error text (the two kinds of text that appear in the middle of your screen) as part of the GUI customization system in a future patch. This isn't a trivial issue, however - in some cases, fairly vital information is given to the player here, and we'd need to be sure that in these cases the text gets rerouted someplace for a player to review. So short form, yeah, we're thinking about it, but no ETA for you at this time. But it was super uncool that they answered with a lie. ATM, to enjoy the game, I have to turn off ALL of my UI, and play with just my nameplate on. This is the only way to remove red combat error text. Dispite what Damion said, there isn't a SINGLE PIECE OF INFOMATION that I want. It was just a lie. I'm pretty angry about being lied too. Target Out of Range Ability Not Yet Ready You can't do that yet Unable to do when Immobilized No more of this. It goes away whenever you turn off the ENTIRE UI. Please just let us turn off this part of it. Edited March 31, 2012 by Asphen
NRieh
Biochem produces Augmented Implants So they changed thier mind from giving extra implant instead of single sloted one. Not bad. Y-Yorle
This post made me confused. I initially thought only the new 1.2 endgame armors would have removable armoring because of the Q&A of March the 14th: Systems Designer David Hunt let players know that many new Crafting schematics in 1.2 (on PTS) are available only via reverse engineering. He also reassured us that customizations to gear made pre-1.2 will be retained, and let everyone know that in 1.2 and beyond, you’ll be able to move new endgame gear set bonuses by removing the armoring mod. However, this change won’t be applied to older endgame items, just to those new in 1.2 and beyond. And now we see in this Q&A of march the 30th that apparently they will be removable?: In this case, it means your currently empty Champion gear will be purple and show a filled/extractable armoring and empty mod and enhancement slots. Those mods and enhancements will still be present in your Jedi Battlelord set. I am hoping they will be removable, as I really dislike the looks of my Guardian's PvP champ armor. When I am not in PvP I usually switch back to my robes.
