George Lucas doesn't like his characters to be out fought, out powered, out done at anything. He's declared Sidious as the most power Sith ever. As Star Wars is His creation, GL is effectivetly God. God wouldn't have his favorite bad guy being controlled by a minion's (Bioware's) creation.
