Nerf all gunner classes...

Hello being a melee based player i find it really hard to do anything in a wz if the anyteam has all gunner type classes...This is because they can all heal and auto-attack from half a map away... Being a maurader, sin, or juggernaut is pretty much pointless in this game... let me give you some instances...

 

Mercs, they can just sit there from halfway across the map and launch their damn missle thing constantly over and over again while u are running at them..

 

Operatives, they have 2 stuns...back 2 back... invis... heals.. and auto-target from halfway across the map.

 

Commandos, dont even get me started on this class... this is the most op freaking class in game...

 

Powertech, Constantly healing... auto-targeting from half a map away...

 

NOW, What does a class like a sin, maurader or juggenaut do to combat these classes?

 

Assassin, We have one stun, one anti stun, one push back, and one interupting spell. How good are these spells when you have 2 gunners attack you from 50 feet away? Well you are dead... so no point in trying...

 

Maurader, they have forechoke, that leap thing, and who knows what else... point being... when u have 2 gunner classes attacking u from far away... u cant do anything..

 

Juggernaut, do i really have to explain?

 

-Now what i propose is either a way to take away autoaim from gunning classes.. or the other 3 classes need to be seriously buffed up.. I refuse to stoop down to noob lvl and roll a gunner class to be cheap...All im saying is being an assassin i find it very hard to do anything while i am being attacked by 2 gunner classes... i can take on 2 juggernauts, mauraders or sins anyday.... but being a melee class who is always have to run to my oppenents, who can just slow, shoot, and run away... it makes the game very frustrating to play...

 

In almost all wzs now i see over 50% of people playing are some form of gunner-type class... hmm i wonder why..

 

horribly unbalanced and i dont get how people can say the melee-classes are op.. cuz they arent...

Mercs and Commandos are exactly the same...

 

Powertechs have NO healing at all...

 

Operatives are a melee class, NOT ranged...

 

Marauders, Juggernauts, and Assassins are some of the best classes in the game. You truly have no idea what you are talking about.

 

Stop "BlazinHerbs" so much and do some research to learn about the classes you are fighting.

Youre an assassin and you cant kill a commando or any ranged class?

Im infiltration specced shadow, and ill happily tear up any of those classes almost every single time. You can even wtfpwn them if they jump you while out of stealth.

 

The only time you should be losing to ranged is if they pewpew you from max range, whilst unstealthed, with ALL of your defensive CDs and vanish down and theres no way to LoS them and you havent got force speed up to break range and you havent seen them and youre afk . . .

 

GOOD marauders should beat you about 50% of the time, and average+ FotM Tank spec assassins/shadow should beat you about 70% of the time. (seeing as they take very little effort to win 1v1s - ive done it myself.) Everyone else is your bread and butter.

Hahaha you are absilute right !

I bet all negative replays came from GUNNERS :)

Also if gunners nerfed to point 2-3 hits = death i wonder what they will play ?

I bet who is most easy Op class :)

But dont worry Mr. Erik will be out of job soon and gunners will be put in they place.

If was up to me they should be deleted as a class at all. (My pinion)

I will never play a gunner, and i will NEVER respect a player who play a gunner.

Gunner mean COWARD ... man with chicken heart afraid to play with lighsaber as a MAN..

Star Wars is about The FORCE not about happy trigger idiot with a gun.

Swtor devels turn Star Wars in to counter-Strike. No wonder they lack of staff and imagination.

Before they got this monster boost they was 1-2 per 8 player .. now they are 7 from 8.

I don't know whether you should learn to play, but check the post date for the guy you quoted. I don't even remember who was on top then. :jawa_tongue:

Yea I didn't look, some people probably choose to waste their lifes scrolling thousands of pages on a dead forum. But considering how much nonsense it going on here, I wouldn't be surprised :rolleyes:

Had that today, everything on cd and the 2 mercs on enemy team caught me in the open, nothing to use, out of range and they kept firing blazing bolts. All i could donis watch my HP go down while I moved 30% of my speed or so :(

Yes... when you have to kill mercs 2 or 3 times to actually die and snipers who are better tanks than Nightrain, the game clearly has a big a problem.

 

But devs still think nerfing DPS is the way to balance these things out---->>> 5 servers.

Forechoke is amazing!

 

Although, right now I'm really regretting that there is not an ability named Force Skin. I wonder how you'd clip that one?

 

In fact, why can't Force Barrier be renamed Force Skin? It's about as useful. ;)

this whole thread actually made me laugh pretty long. (glad somebody pulled that out of the archives :) )

 

As for "gunners" - snipers can only "tank" if they are good, bad ones will die just as fast as anybody else.

I've seen Maras surviving 15 sec or longer focused by 4 people without healer and actually killing 2 of them, also seen maras die in 2 sec. Does that mean they are OP? No, just learn how classes work and how and you might get an idea.

 

It's true having a team with 3+ snipers to fight against is horrible, but (and I said this earlier in some post as well) it is also awful to fight against 3+ Maras who know what they're doing. I've played on both sides, and as annoying it is, being slowed all the time not really being able to do anything, it's just as annoying dying in 1 sec because 5+ people kill you and your team the entire time on permanent superspeed.

So he was what? Level 10?

 

I think this was the sentiment of everyone who played a melee when the game first came out. Like immediately after launch.
