BW lets all these people pay for free on the weekends, and when I go to log on, I get put in a 200 player queue (on fatman server)....

You need to do something for paying customers that have been loyal, albeit three months, since the start.

While I do not disagree that free accounts should have lower queue priority, there are worse things in the world than having a heavily populated server.

I understand that BioWare needs to do what it can to increase its subscriber base and the best way to do that is to allow people to sample it, but I would hope that if they're going to have free-for-all weekends on an ongoing basis that they should probably do something to better maintain the flow of traffic.

Otherwise, it's over after this weekend and ceases to be a problem at that point.

I agree there are worse things in the world, and I didn't start my thread with "dropping sub" like a lot of others did. It was to make a point and see if there were others who agree. As for this weekend being the end, we'll see, I can see them doing it again in a couple of months, before a major release.

I sympathize with your problem, hopefully BW will prioritize their paying customers over their potential customers in the future. However, I can understand why they would get priority, after all they are the potential customers so they need a good impression for a single weekend, not a weekend long que. :)

...I think it's called the other five days in the week. Just sayin'.

Also, you have to pay to pay to play? Ouch.

ive never gotten a queue since i bought this game and that was like the beginning of march

dont blame bioware for rolling on a high population server.not there fault you wanna play on a high pop server

eather way i dont think a free trial weekend would do any good anyway.the majority of complaints about this game ive seen is when people hit lvl 50,and i doubt you would hit lvl 50 over the weekend

And..... the QQ over servers queues begins again.....

Canderous and Fatman are being ganked by people rerolling from other servers, not by the free weekenders.

Your servers have been targeted by the discontented on these forums as the place to go for a server with lots of population. In fact, according to some, yours are the only servers with any population them.

It will continue unless/until Bioware closes them to new characters. This of course would create a whole new volley of QQ from people wanting on your servers. None the less, it seems like Bioware should close them to new characters for a while.

You obviously totally ignored the point of the thread and used the opportunity to troll that you manage to play for free, if even true.

Without stooping to throwing out the RL card, let's just say like a lot of adult professionals with families, I have more free time on the weekends than I do "the other five days" Unfortunately there are no rules against twisting an idea around to try and have the forum world say "ooh, look at him with that witty repertoire, I bow to you sir..."

Don't worry, its not long before this game is F2P.

Oh look - it's a week later and here we are again, my normal 'Heavy' server once again has a 270 player queue. Let's see, can I switch servers?...no. Did I choose this server? No, it was assigned to my guild. 90% of the servers are light - yet I get a 20 minute wait to play.

I'm really not this antagonistic, but this is frustrating

i would recommend a "trial server for free account".. but what are they going to do with their characters when they subscribe??? Edited by Talsalus

I wish my server had a queue. A 20 minute wait is well worth having a server that is full of people rather than the ghost towns that are 90% of the other servers. Can't you browse the net or log on early before making coffee/grabbing a bite to eat?

The good news is they won't make the same mistake twice and add extra servers to fix it. The better news is that once your server's pop settles in they'll simply adjust the cap upward to get rid of the queues. Edited by GalacticKegger

Lock Fatman, no new characters should be aloud to be created on that server unless they can get an invite from someone already on it. It has been the most crowded server since release, we don't need one more player on it. Everyone is re rolling on an overcrowded server when the empty servers are the one that need more players. It's 10pm and we have a 20 minute queue which is ridiculous.

Then merge other servers ASAP.
