Time to get out of combat?

Why does it take like 25 seconds to get out of combat?

 

I have a level 16 jedi shadow, 23 operative and a level 49 juggernaut and it's really annoying having such a long time to get out of combat in pvp.

 

I've been against someone before and killed him and then have to wait like 20 seconds to get out of combat and then usually I die due to having no way to get health back because I cannot use my heal unless I'm out of combat then someone respawns then finishes you off.

 

Can you please fix it so that it takes like 5/10 seconds of no combat to get out of combat it's really gamebreaking.

 

Other than that I find pvp in this game great!

I completely agree with you, but as far as I know, it's intended. From what I understand, you can't get out of combat until everyone you've made contact with in combat is killed (or drops combat, which basically means everyone would have to stop fighting completely).

 

It's infuriating for stealth classes and anyone without an in-combat heal. Thankfully, dots won't break the standard channeled out of combat heal anymore, but I'd really like to see a change made to the time it takes to drop combat or at least something similar to bandages implemented.

If that's intended that's lame.

 

I really hate playing my juggernaut when its like this.

 

I pop my cooldown which gives me 30% hp for 10 seconds in the hope when combat finishes I'll still have enough health to survive until I can heal and then after combat that finishes then I still cannot heal so that health goes away and then I die from like two dot ticks because I still couldn't use my heal.

It's odd in a way. If you kill a target you're instantly ooc, but when uour try to make a run, the game will leave you in fight for at least 10 seconds, often more.

 

I don't get the reasoning here. Getting OOC should be twice as fast.

Heh. I saw that Dev quote a few days ago and tested it pretty extensively (because I thought it was rubbish)

 

I guess when I'm not paying attention at 5% health that 8 secs feels like an hour......

 

But at 8 secs, on the dot, each time, I dropped combat.

In-combat should also always clear after death.

I don't know how many times I got to respawn with the little red pistol symbol still there (and hostile effects still running on me).

 

Sometimes it lasts so long that I actually leave the spawn area and run (very slowly) back to the battle before it clears.

 

Like many other things, this is bugged. :(
