kijthae Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) In the current design you are obligated to stick to 1 stat untill its capped. Then you go for less important secondary stats. To be able to make it some classes need small overhauls , I want to exemplify it with classes i play: Deception assasins have a skill called as crackling blast. It increases critical damage of shock and discharge %50. Good geared assasins can crit over 5k if they spend all offensive cooldowns and gathered buffs from other skills. However if it doesnt crit it shock / discharge hits really weak. It could be %35 damage increase but not limited to critical strikes. Therefore I wont be forced to stack crit up to %35 or surge up to %75 softcap. If we return back to what im trying to convey , accuracy seems useless in pvp right now. It decreases target defences , if im not wrong it doesnt provide something like armor penetration. There would be more options to classes which deal energy and kinetic damage mostly to prefer accuracy. Alacrity is limited to casters.Im not sure if is it great for healers or dps casters but I would like to see it provides some little benefit for melee too like reducing global cooldown caused of melee abilities.I dont expect it to be an option to stack up to its softcap but it could still be providing some small global cooldown reduction or a small chance to deal an additional damage with basic attacks/melee attacks. For healers alacrity could be reducing main cooldowns to gather resources alittle bit. Dystopic Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) I think this would just annoy people more than anything else. Myself included. 1) Switching between specs is no longer just switching between specs, it now requires changing gear when you already have a set for PVP/PVE and possibly a 3rd if you are a hybrid. 2) I would not be happy with the devs spending time on this. So many other things that I think are far more important than this (in my opinion) non-issue. Also, your are wrong about accuracy. It's not armor pen after 100%, it reduces defense after 100%. And as far as capping your secondary stats, power has no cap to my knowledge. It's like strength or willpower. Edited March 25, 2012 by Dystopic
