Gonewild Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I play a sorc and I love my class. I Am going to play my Sorc post 1.2. Are you going to play your current class after 1.2's nerf beatdown?
vimm Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Yes, both Operative and Mercenary. I will thoroughly enjoy my Sniper buff as well (while it lasts).
Iboga Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I'm gonna stick with my Scrapper... though I often wish I'd rolled a Shadow or something...
DarthMikesta Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I play a merc, and will continue doing so. Been practicing pyrotech in case the arsenal nerfs are too bad. Im looking forward to the changss in pve, but idk how bad it will be for pvp.
Reenolols Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I'll be returning to Op, yes, cause everyone's in "grass is greener" mode and has no idea what life is really like as another class. Op damage is superior to marauder, and I know how each actually functions. CC hurts maras more than Ops, which is just one thing people just can't seem to grasp. While everyone thinks maras are walking gods (they're very strong, I play one), everyone will believe Ops are a laughable joke, so someone has to show peeps.
Jrovak Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) no I ave cancelled my sub I will not play 1.2, i'am uninstalling this game as soon as I give away my credits to my guild. the nerfs are not the reason, I have played 2 months rolled 3 toons to see what I liked playing and settled PT I liked the idea of a tank melee and distance class. I remember after loging in the first time limited horrible character creation then a EWW this game looks awful on login. then the fps issue I couldnt fathom why these awfull graphics needed so much resources. I mean the MMO i was playing before had better graphic and I never had these super low frame rates issues. Anyway, I eventually got over it picked my main and was originaly concerned about my lack of PvP gear when I would eventually ding 50. I rolled all my toons on a pvp server cause I like the pvp. I got 5 fights all up while lvling 3 on tat and 2 on voss I think, anyway it was very limited . At 50 having attained BM rank in 3 days and all Bm pieces needed in 10, I grew desilusioned about the easy mode, the absence of OwPvP and the idea of the only PvP content ( which is all i do) would be WZ with 1 map for each 3 mini games and one of those poping 80% +. So the same mini 80% on 1 single map. Reading Patch 1.2 where everything is handed to you, no more valor, gear on a even easier mode basis than what I had experienced I decided to call it a day. This is not an MMO its something else that isn't for me Edited March 25, 2012 by Jrovak
JBloom Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 No but it's not entirely because of the nerf although the nerf didn't help.
Rahak Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Sawbones isn't getting nerfed, and the Pyrotech changes won't bother me.
Maxkardinal Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) I play a sorc and I love my class. I Am going to play my Sorc post 1.2. Are you going to play your current class after 1.2's nerf beatdown? I will think about bothering myself to investigate feedback information from players after Bioware will add to Operatives 'sprint' and 'shadowstep'. And if i find it promising ill give this game 2nd chance. But it for sure wont happen in 1.2 release. So, no, i will not be playing my operative, and any other class. I canceled sub even before 1.2 patchnotes were released, because i found Bioware lied at every statement about quality of their product (my signature says it better) and my playtime expired yesterday. I did enjoy single player content, but as MMO SWTOR offered so far worst game expirience. IMO, of course. Edited March 25, 2012 by Maxkardinal
KrackenOne Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Well from reading these boards, yeah I will. Seeing on how everyone is getting nerfed....
glenbruton Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Nerfs & buffs. its the MMO life. Get used to it.
MelodicSixNine Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) Yes I will still play my arsenal merc. DFA change hurts and TM longer activation time scare me a bit, but meh. (EDIT: heh I didn't read the patch notes carefully. I can sleep peacefully now when I can reduce casting time of TM via skill tree ) Edited March 26, 2012 by MelodicSixNine
Shrilokka Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Nerfs come and go. Buffs come and go. If you reroll every time your class gets nerfed you probably shouldn't be playing an MMO.
Swaggz Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I won't be healing on my BH due to the heat changes but I'll still play my merc. As for the gear issues that everyone seems to be QQing about, well, doesn't bother me either way. If everyone is on the same page gear wise, skill and coordination will play a bigger part than those who are overgeared facerolling over those who aren't.
signahead Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) I'll keep playing my Commando. Looks like healing in PvE will be considerably more challenging, but I don't think the changes to Commando healing will have a huge affect on how I play in PvP. Maybe I'll user Supercharge Cells less often and will attack even less than I do now. But I usually saved Supercharge for emergencies and rarely attacked anyway (mostly just to interrupt caps or if the group's focus fire needed one more Charged Round to finish off a target). On the other hand, I recently made my first DPS character, and I'm having a blast PvPing with my Gunslinger alt. That may cut into the time I spend on my Commando. But that has more to do with discovering a new role than it does with any disappointment I feel about my Commando. Edited March 25, 2012 by signahead

Calista_ZK Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Nerfs & buffs. its the MMO life. Get used to it. In years of playing MMOs, no, I haven' t had such a consistent combination of both poorly planned balancing , poor communication, suspect internal QA (internal testing) and badly executed PTS. So no, I should not be expected to "get used to it" when I am paying for what is supposed to be software developed by professionals.

Must of never played wow with the ret buff/nerf/back and fourth, cause that beats anything swtor could ever do...
Amp_ Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Anyone switching to another class because of 1.2 is making a mistake. Unless your favorite spec is going extinct come 1.2, don't abandon your current class. Until now, BioWare has taken a very gradual and surgical approach to buffs/nerfs. With 1.2, they are doing the exact opposite. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of things get screwed up and BioWare has to go back to balancing again rather quickly. Hopefully I'm completely wrong, but it wouldn't be the first time a MMO got on the nerf/buff roller coaster.
cashogy Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Yes I will still play my arsenal merc. DFA change hurts and TM longer activation time scare me a bit, but meh. baddie detected. TM will not have a longer activation time, unless you dont know how to spec your class properly. i will keep playing pyrotech. the changes are poorly thought out and bioware is likely not going to re-evalutae them, so ill make due. im very discouraged to see that this game has already turned into a revolving door of nerfs. not a good look for an mmo
Synxos Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) Oh yeah, I'm still playing my sorc as my main. I picked that class long before the game was even in beta. I'll still make people cry as a sorc. On a side note, I have been planning on making a guardian for a while, so he's likely to get increased playtime. My sorcs still gonna be my main. Probably won't be playing long though. With D3 and other better games coming out soon.... like the post right after this one, this game is pretty fail. Edited March 25, 2012 by Synxos
ImSaved Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) Must of never played wow with the ret buff/nerf/back and fourth, cause that beats anything swtor could ever do... When I think of the PvP in this game one word comes to mind: Ilum. SWTOR wins the fail award. But I will continue to play my Scoundrel, no point in re-rolling. Pretty much every class got nerfed in some way in 1.2. Edited March 25, 2012 by ImSaved

LOL it certainly doesnt feel 2.3 mil or 1.7 in game thats for sure. look at all transfer me pls server is dead. its a simple game with no content and on ezymode I predict F2P within 6 months from now. when I started all severs were heavy now most are light and std I think your figures are grossly overestimated.
