pandagreat Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 This has been bugging me lately where I force jump somebody with no resolve and they don't get rooted. Even with a full resolve I believe they still can be rooted. Has anyone have this bug?

Some classes, specifically tanks, have an ability that temporarily makes them immune to movement impairing effects. To anwser your question, no, i havent had any trouble snaring/rooting my opponents.
verfallen Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Never had any issue. Do keep in mind its a very short root of 2 sec. Considering the GCD of 1,5, you barely have time for an attack before they start moving again. So if you attempt Ravage for exemple, they'll be able to walk away before the last hit easily.
Nmaharg Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 It bugs every once in awhile for sure. Not sure if it's just an immunity buff on certain classes or not though.
Moosestick Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 If they parry/dodge/etc your charge damage, no root is applied.

It's not that...I've seen myself charging someone and that person becomes out of range meaning he didn't get rooted at all.
Ridisi Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 No wonder this community thinks Marauder is the hardest class to play.
excaliburhc Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 had hit happen - seems to be server lag plays into it , would leap in and find the enemy was stunned just out of reach of my attacks. maddening and one of the reasons i said i would give anni a go
EasymodeX Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Reasons why charge doesn't "work as you think it is intended": #1: Dodge dodge dodge dodge. #2: Client-server sync.
Foxcolt Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Reasons why charge doesn't "work as you think it is intended": #1: Dodge dodge dodge dodge. #2: Client-server sync. I can't count the number of times I've charged someone only to end up 5 yards behind them...hero engine ftw
EasymodeX Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 It's a common client-server sync issue with many games that appears very obviously when your target is using a movespeed buff (cough, Force Speed, cough). It's usually pretty predictable if you're watching for it though. Sometimes I end up doing a 360 when I land and spam my attack until it lands though. Sigh.
