I'm one of those people that play one character to death and am not really interested in making a ton of alts and getting them all to 50. As a result, I have a lot of credits on my main and my Legacy Level is somewhat high.

I am greatly looking forward to the new Legacy system and like all of the things that it does. There is, however, one thing I would really like to see that will probably never happen.

I made a human. Almost everyone did because the Republic side race options were basically all human or near-human looking (human with horns and facial tattoos, human with a bandana around their eyes, human with some metal on their face, etc.) The Empire side had a few better race options but still all near human looking.

Firstly, I would like to see all those races that are constantly walking around the game in the form of NPCs and Companions become playable. I would love to make a Kel Dor--I play on an RP server and my original character concept that I put quite a bit of time into was based around being a Kel Dor and Kel Dor society and traditions. So seeing some races become available that are a lot less human looking (Kel Dor, Nautolan, whatever Yuun's race is, etc) would be awesome.

Secondly, and lastly, I would LOVE to see an option in game to remake your character from scratch. So, in the future, if Kel Dor are finally made available to play, I do not really want to reroll. I would be willing to pay real money for this. If you gave an option that could be bought for $10 or $20 real life money this would provide additional income for you guys and would make people like me really happy. Currently you cannot even get a haircut in the high tech advanced future which seems silly, but this would be awesome.

Perhaps you could make it a once only offer or once every year, 6 months, or something like that to prevent people from changing their appearances all the time. I figure if you are eventually going to allow people to change their Legacy names, which is their single most identifying mark, why not allow people to change to the races they originally wanted to play when/if they become available.

Would this be doable at all sometime in the future?

Thanks for your time.

It will be a cash shop feature before it hits in game.

I doubt you will ever see more than minor changes in game. Hair, maybe skin tone, makeup, but that's it.

If you want a total reset you'll have to pay about 20-30 dollars.

That is exactly what I said in the original message. I would be willing to pay real money for this option.

so would I.

Hell I can't wait for them to start up a cash shop so I can buy vehicles, outfits, maybe exclusive crystals.

Yes! Please oh please Bioware allow one the option to change ones characters appearance. I think changing ones race might be a bit too much, but I certainly want a service in game through which one can change one's appearance for a small fee. This wouldn't break anything, and it would add a much needed service. Especially with new features such as all cyborg parts being made available if you level a cyborg to 50 after patch 1.2. I only want to have one cyborg... what am I supposed to do if I level my cyborg to 50, unlock the parts, but can't change his appearance to utilize my unlocks? I don't want to have to delete him and roll my cyborg all over again...

I vote a free character appearance respec (race and all) for 1.2 ONCE because of how some people may have had leveled a certain race to 50 but wanted that race for their main (say a chiss SI but instead they are human and instead leveled a Chiss BH to 50).

After that, I vote for an expensive plastic surgery to change options of your existing race should be in-game, maybe 1.3?

/agree

I wouldn't mind shelling out some credits to pay for one of my characters to undergo plastic surgery lol. It doesn't break lore, it doesn't break gameplay, it wouldn't be too hard to implement, and it would add another credit sink. This should definitely be added.

I'm sure there will be a game mechanic in the future that allows you to modify your appearance with the character creator editor. This only makes sense, since there are many appearance options that aren't even going to be available until you max the character to 50.

Maybe in my story, I go on a diet, and change from 4 to body type 2. Maybe I mature from body 1 to body 3. Maybe I lazily let myself go and change from body 2 to body 4 during my "interlude".

Cyborgs can always get new and different enhancement options.

Humans can get the tattoos added are removed

Most races can get a hairstyle change, and/or die it a new color.

The imperial agent has a story portion where major surgery is involved, so there is no reason to believe plastic surgery is out of the question for facial feature changes.

There are countless in-game explanations for being allowed to change the appearance options of your character.

I understand it not being an option at release, because of the rushed release schedule. But the options to change appearance is something players expect to see in the future. Make it happen, BioWare.
