Tryntius
My computer sucks. My roommates kicks more *** than free tacos for a year. His has two monitors and could handle running swtor twice. If I use Inner Box, will it allow input from a second keyboard and mouse, such that we could play together simultaneously? Also, is there yet a way to multibox swtor without having to use inner box? Ebbikenezer
Why don't you just ask if you can multibox and skip the shenanigans?
Tryntius
I like shenanigans. Also, I've never multiboxed; so I do not know if two keyboards/mouses could be used simultaneously.

Cycrowuk
besides, trying to render and process 2 games at the same time would need some series hardware
Pvpingwithnoobs
U wouldn't need any major hardware for swtor, I used to run 2 rift accounts at the same time dual boxing in raids on max settings. This game has no way near the demand. Oh and if you can get round running two instances of the game I am sure it's fine, although bypassing something they put in, not sure it would be ok lol
Tryntius
besides, trying to render and process 2 games at the same time would need some series hardware He built it two weeks ago on a $1800 budget...that is taken care of and then some. Tryntius
No and no. A little bit dogmatic, eh? There must be a way to do this.
Ayabe
Perhaps with a virtual PC setup running XP or Win7 32bit that you could RDP into from your machine. That might work. This comes for free with Win7 Pro or Ultimate but you have to download it. If he's running Win7 Home, I think you'd have to pursue other options. renegadeimp
There is no way to run 2 instances on one computer. If you use a third party program to do it, you are risking your account being actioned.

Virtual PC is limited to 512MB of Ram. Game wouldn't even run. OP, no. You can't use two keyboards on a single conputer.

I don't know what Inner box is or anything about multiboxing. What i do know is that the launcher doesn't allow for two games to be run at once. Now if that Inner box thing makes it so that it's like two computers it will probably run, but if not then i don't think. Again i have never multiboxed and don't know anything about it, just saying what i know.

HanzoV
Don't know man, free tacos sounds pretty awesome. Yeah, we really need to know what calibre of Taco we're talking about here, to gauge this accurately.
injury
Sounds like you want to run it virtualized, you might get lucky and get it to launch as I think a couple support DX9 kindof but I wouldn't be surprised if it runs like hot garbage or crashes frequently. Your main hurdle is video. Even with multiple video cards your virtualization software controls your video card(s) in this scenario thus acts as an interpreting layer between the virtual machine and the hardware. The game nor the sessions OS would have direct access to the hardware.
Tryntius
So, I tried this software called BeTwin. It allowed me to run one user account on one monitor and another on the primary monitor. It also allowed for separate/independent use of a second mouse and keyboard. However, I would get error code 7 when I tried to start the game. Back to the drawing board. Edited March 6, 2012 by Tryntius

WutsInAName
Gluck, even if you COULD get it to run multiple instances on same machine (I did this with EQ2, worked well) SWTOR would melt your video card.

Tryntius
Look. It wont melt the video card. The game runs amazingly beautiful as a single instance. I know this has to be possible; please don't post if you are just a naysaying derp. If you have any ideas, please let me know. RickRedOne
Since SWToR run as Admin in Exclusive mode it can not run on the same PC more than once. You would need to run the second in a VM, which would require 2 copies of windows. Edited March 6, 2012 by RickRedOne
