signahead
I have a confession: I don't really like T7. As a character, the little droid's OK. But as a companion, T7 fills the same role as my Guardian and requires special gear which doesn't drop often and can't be used by anyone else. So as soon as Kira arrived, T7 was reassigned to crafting duty. (Level 18ish spoilers below) Then, as soon as we left Coruscant, I get a mission where T7 has to be my companion. Cue the irrational frustration. My dislike of T7 is so strong, that as soon as I turned in the mission, I dismissed the droid and sent him on a slicing mission. That's when the Sith ambush happened. Without a companion, it didn't go well, and now my irrational dislike of T7 has blossomed into irrational hatred. I think I might be turning to the dark side. Now that the mission is over, can I safely ignore T7? Do I need to keep his gear up to date for these special missions, or can I focus on my other companions instead? SturmUndSterne
Your final class quest in the game requires you to use T7. Until then, he's purely optional. I'd run the dailies on Ilum/Belsavis, save up some creds, and buy all the upper-level droid gear for him once you hit 50 or get to lategame. Pandora
your right, functionally the droid is a copy of the jedi. however he has 2 functions. tank and dps. just use him for the oposite of what your doing and he should do fine. not that other companions won't be as/more useful
SilentKitty
I play with T7 on dps-mode and I quite like the range he has got. We chop things down quickly and if I would end up in a sticky situation with respawns or just general stupidity on my part it is easy to flip him over to tank-mode. Gear your comps and play around with them, find out which ones suit your playstyle. edit: I'm JK Sentinel Edited March 7, 2012 by SilentKitty
Sabredance
I like that little guy. He is a side project of mine. Try to outfit him completely in critted level 50 pieces.

Oh if you think this is bad then wait till chapter three. At least I was able to use Kira up until the ambush. Just before I triggered that event I switched back to the droid. VoidJustice
When you get towards level 40ish... start concentrating on T7 and his gear. just sayin, hear me now and listen later. Ignore me and you'll wind up killing younglings like anikin. I fear for you OP. Edited March 7, 2012 by VoidJustice
