WZ pvp has broken this game. I've cancelled until this gets eliminated or fixed. It is REAL easy to "game" a WZ. It's not cheating, but a group or guild using voip will dominate a PUG. And doing Huttball 150 times a day ( 6 times in a F'n row this morning for me) is about as much fun as going to the dentist.

 

End game has died. And it only took a little over 2 months.

So, there is still an incentive to head out to Broken Ilum for a half hour or so during prime time? I think that's actually a great move to keep Broken Ilum still a little bit relevant while they figure out what Broken Ilum wants to be when Broken Ilum grows up.

 

That's relatively good news, considering the state of PvP in this game.

Why would you put yourself thru 3 kills when you need lol 100+? and to top it off whatever gear you get battlemaster/champ it will be vendor come 1.2 when you will actually need good gear due to rateds..Why not just wait till 1.2 in 2 months or so?

This is good, now ppl actually might que to PvP cuz im tired of the long QUES, good work BioWare :)

 

You really expect to see fast ques? they released this nice patch to feed the casual with PvP gear then they announce in the QnA in 1.2 WarHero Rank set will require no Rank and make what you are working for now in PvP worthless. This is going to make the PvP Que's drop to crap.

I am glad to see the number so low. This means that Ilum may still actually live. On Tuesdays you could easily fill your weekly in an hour or two. The daily never took me more than an hour on most days.

 

Now they need to give WZ credit (1) for every 30 player kills.

 

Like many, I am tired of playing WZ's especially with pre-mades.

 

Now you don't even have to win them to get 3 ilum credits, so I guess people will just go in and run around and do what they want.

 

There is the winning 3 and 9 but after you do that there is no reason to win a WZ, you just need to show up.

 

Prepare to see much more afk botting in WZ's.

 

The lead PVP dev needs to be fired ASAP and someone that has a clue hired.

before you post something think about it first, i mean..they will make rank systems, and whil getting everyone faster geared up it might just give them a chance to actually compete. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ONES THAT ISN'T LVL 50? well that cant be fixed thats just how mmos work, but rlly this might give the existing 50s a reason to stop whining

 

and well yeah offcourse you are right about the no rank needed part, but BioWare have no choice cuz of all the illum valor farm, that killed the balance and the whole reason of valor. They did the right thing imo

 

 

AND YES? offcourse the ques will increase

You like to whine alot. Patch has only been out for a few hours and you're chastising BioWare for no solidfied reason, just a bunch of speculation. Also, the WarHero set is gained through doing rated warzones, which means you'll have to put in a fair amount of effort, it's not 'worthless' at all and definitely isn't catered for the casual PvPer.

if you play 7-8 war zone every night, that takes 2-3 hours. And you do this every day of the week. You can easily get the weekly done. Whatever you miss, you can make up on the weekends. :p

 

Why do people expect to complete the weekly in one day? It's inefficient.

That's...a lot of playtime. That's almost a part time job.

I was hoping you'd have to do 6 warzones a day for the ilum daily now, but it's actually 10, which I think is a little high. Depending on how long your queues are, completing 10 WZs is a pretty significant time investment every day.

 

You have to get 3 wins for the WZ daily, and assuming average 50% win rate, you'd have to play 6 a day to complete your daily, so if it were up to me I'd make you get 5 per WZ toward the ilum daily/weekly rather than 3, but I don't make the rules.

This is wrong, because of the imbalance of the sides.

Unfortunately, Imperials are screwed by this change. hard.

End game has been dead since arrival.

 

ilum is terrible and needs a revamp, and has always been. Apparently the devs aren't happy with it either if they are allowing you to get "open world" pvp credit in a warzone.

I only agree in the sense that warzones kill PvP servers. The whole point of a PvP server is open world PvP.

 

With all the warzone emphasis, the difference between "PvE" and "PvP" is marginal at best. Just make all servers PvP because 90% of the people are running to out of world warzones anyway
