Blaster Issues

Hello, this is an issue that has plagued me since the beginning of the game. I am playing as a trooper class, but since the beginning of the game I have not been able to fire my blaster. This is really starting to become an issue in the Seperatist Stronghold. Yes, the blaster is equipped to my primary spot (1), but when I press it, nothing happens. I am able to use all my other abilities (And have been relying on them for the entire game really).

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Speak in proper terms. Your post makes no sense what so ever.

 

1. If you can use "all your other abilities", then you can fire your blaster as many of them do involve firing your blaster in some form

 

2. There is no autoattack

 

3. Your blaster rifle is equipped in your main hand. No gear or weapon goes to "slot 1" of your ability quickslot bar. Only abilities go there

 

4. What goes into the slot 1 is supposed to be Hammer shot

That is the "free" attack for trooper class

 

5. Why the slot 1 matters is that when you right click an enemy (when you dont click your ability bars or use keybinds, but just right click an enemy) it uses the ability in the quickslot 1.

That's the big problem- you've put a piece of equipment in your hotbar, not the actual attack.

 

Check your abilities for "Hammer Shot" and drag that into slot one on your bar instead. That's your ammo-free basic attack. There's a couple of cases later on where having an item actually on your bar matters (relics, namely) but your blaster's not one of them.

 

(Then lock down the bar for good measure so you don't accidentally drag an ability off when you don't want to.)

With all due respect Eternalnight, this is my second day playing any MMO in general. I haven't exactly learned these "proper terms" that you talk about yet.

 

Other than that, the bottom half of your post helped. It appears that in the beginning of the game, I must have accidentally removed hammer shot from the quickbar. Fixed that and now it's going smoothly.

 

So for your help, thank you.
