RolyartNala
Getting to level 50 will unlock that character's race for all classes you create thereafter, bypassing the regular class and race restrictions. "If you were to play a character to level 50 with all the races, you could create any class of any race," said Ohlen. "We know that not many people are going to do that because it's kind of crazy, so we also gave the option for players to purchase some of the unlocks." Ohlen said the race purchases will be made only with in-game currency. Source: http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1219843p1.html These are not new species. We do not care about playing a RED CRAYOLA CRAYON HUMAN verses a GREEN CRAYOLA CRAYON HUMAN verses a CRAYOLA CRAYON HUMAN WITH DIFFERENT CYBERNETIC IMPLANTS ON HIS FACE. In the game right now are many of the species that your players are DYING to play, BioWare: Nautolans, Rodians, Kel Dor, Togruta, and many, many more. Why are these species not available to play? Why aren't they an option? This is the single most disappointing thing about the game right now. Let's be honest---choice of species is purely cosmetic in this game. So you might say that if this is the biggest thing to complain about, things are pretty good. And maybe you're right. But that said, many of us have been waiting to play a REAL STAR WARS MOVIE SPECIES that is not a CRAYOLA CRAYON HUMAN, and we are very disappointed in this supposed "new species" Legacy unlock that is coming. It's not new. It's lame. That is all. Edited March 6, 2012 by RolyartNala
Dayfax
Uh, where have you been? Because they never said NEW species would be included in the 1.2 Legacy System. Aside from that, new races are the kinda thing devs like to reserve or expansions, because it's a HUGE selling point they can plaster all over the box. spacefiddle
For an angry rant, it's hard to argue with the logic. Given what I heard on the live stream about the texi team giving up on the various-shaped companions fitting into the passenger seat, I'm not surprised. Major gear rework for every head and eye configuration. So not surprising, but still disappointing.

Aedey
This is something I was slightly jumping up & down about when I first made my toon. From what I was hearing on the videos saying "Yay this game will be great" (don't get me wrong I love this game.) I thought there would be more exotic species. Me, personally, it is my dream to have my Jedi a Gungan. I've always had that RP vision. Though maybe there will be a species update in the future. Though that would be a nut shot for current players, due to that time they would all be 50 on eight characters & there would never be an option to have a DNA cross-transplantamaboot to turn a Human into a Wookie..
