Qonor
I'm currently a level 43 Madness Assassin about to start Quesh (yep, I know, fail being so high level for that zone). And I just made my first Light Side decision. I just happened to agree with that particular choice more. My question is, whether there is any purpose to having 0 Light Side points if I can still reach Dark Side V by the end of my questing? Did I just mess up? I'm something like Light Side 150 / Dark Side 8,000.
Erevan_Kindelar
The titles and one or two pieces of gear are the main reasons for going fully one side or the other, plus the min/max completionist approach. What will happen is that your DS points will cap at 10000 (which you need for Dark V), but those 150 LS points will give you an effective 9850 DS points so you are stuck on Dark IV. Once you hit 10000 DS points though, future DS decisions will reduce your LS points towards 0. Once you hit 0 LS points and 10000 DS points, you will go Dark V. Fercil
No rewards for such. The only rewards are for reaching dark/light 1-5, only the amount of points needed to reach that increases if you also pick pick opposite alignment points as the difference is what is counted. Spero-Mcgee
Good to know, thanks! This can be a problem if you happen to have diplomacy though. Any light/dark points that you can at max will revert it back to Light/Dark IV. However if you don't use any lightsabers or relics with a requirement you can do whatever you feel like. RkJedi
as of right now DS or LS pts are useless .... unless u want the DS/LS low end gear and low end relics. maybe when the legacy system comes online it might have some impact.

This is sadly true, you might get more enjoyment out of it from a roleplay perspective but other than that it's meh. Heck you could do a bit of pvping and get the relics from that no requirement. Or being an artifice helps in that regard as well. For the relics at least.
