CLOAKING and PVP do not mix: specifics here....

I do not know any of you but I am in a guild and many of us are tired of this scenerio playing out over and over:

You enter a warzone and you get the advantage and whale away hit after hit up close and personal on a cloaker (assasin, shadow, op, scoundrel, marauder, sent) and as you whale away at them they cloak. Never in any MMO have I seen such BS, plus many players now are starting to do the same thing.

To me it is irritating and when many cloakers are on one side together say huttball here is the scenerio, they keep cloaking and not dieing and send us back to the damn waiting respawn wall while score, score score. You say to yourself *** they can't PVP but cloak only and exploit every ounce what cloaking advantages they aquire to it's fullest limits.

SUGGESTION on fix: Just simply make cloakers visible say to an average man player 5 meters and must step out of that area to cloak out of combat. Jedi/sith should be further say 15-20 meters.

Yep it's quite silly

Personally I think they should only be able to cloak mid fight if they manage to brake line of sight with you, ie in Civil War where they can go behind a pillar or another obsticle etc, you can't see em for a second but that's enough, but to be one yard or whatever right in front of you and in the open with no cover and with you looking straight at them, well that's stupid

Force Cloak on Marauder lasts 4 seconds and it's intentionally made as an "Oh****" button in fights. That's why Annihilation spec has a 100% damage reduction for it in the tree.

Pull your head out of your *** and realize that someone is playing better than you by using the tools they have, since you don't know how to keep DoTs up and use AoEs.

Must be your first MMO, or you have only played "Hello Kitty Island Adventures".

Almost all MMO's I've played, there is a class or 2 that can stealth, and during PvP fights, you use what's at your disposal. Stealth classes usually have lower sustained dps than other classes, the trade off being they usually get the opening attacks, and can run away easier than other classes to heal up and return to the fight.

If you are being beat by stealthers, generally speaking, you're too worried about the leaderboard kills, and not about winning.

Dot's and AoE's is the answer to your problem but they also need to fix the Tab Targeting system and make it more better. I hate it when I put DoT's on a stealther only for them to reappear and I have to cycle through several far and away targets to get to him and poof he is gone again.

Yes I could mouse click him manually but even thats fuzzy atm and I don't feel like playing wack a mole with my mouse. Other than that, DoT's will make them reappear since any damage in cloak reveals them.

I think we can give him tips without being so rude folks. Not everyone is born a PvP monster.

I understand your frustration, but to be fair it is balanced, Stealthers have serious drawbacks hence the stealth, as mentiontioned before, they have less sustained dps, relying on burst damage with mid range cooldowns and a lower resource pool, all the stealthers are primarily a Melee range attacker, meaning they can be kited if you can knockback and slow, and proberbly most critically, they have about as much survivability as a chocolate covered chippendale at a weightwatchers meeting, without those vanish abilities. they are frustrating to kill, quick tip, keep a dot on them and save an aoe for when they vanish as it breaks their stealth = dead stealther.

Either learn to keep DoTs up, or immediately use an AoE when they cloak.

 you are very inexperienced aren't you in PVP. 2 cloakers help eachother out, even when dotted. Dots do not matter they still cloak there is a way. If you never knew this you might if you play other classes.

Unless the one that is cloaked also used a cleanse ability. Of which makes this tactic flawed. As someone said though, it is supposed to be an oh sith ability.

 funny stuff. I just need an ability to be passive like block those cloakers that just got dotted and cloaked from an ability and they sneak up behind you to stab cc you in the back. See the funny thing is still, even when your about to die and finally get your health down to you know I will beat you, you do something jugs never do. CRY your eyes out to a fellow ops player and to have 3-5 ops on my butt. LMAO silly cloaker.

never in a middle of a hit situation, just silly. He is not a f'ing jedi/sith. Read lore. plus tell me what MMO as you hit a player can cloak right away?

Sounds like a complainer to me. It's defense, especially for scoundrels... If we couldn't cloak we would be dying every second.

That is my hole point, a really experienced cloaker NEVER dies, NEVER. I as a jug will on an average die say somewhere between 7-12 deaths but score a 30+ kill range. Stealthers have 0 deaths (experienced) and get 40+ kills. I am fighting my *** off with no dots and very little deffence compared to a BH or troooper.

Yes this is known to the experienced cloaker and he has a way around that.

So now you're complaining that you can't take out 2 players? 1v2 you should lose.

Those skills are on timers too. Stealthers die to the experienced player. You must be a leaderboard chaser.

I don't play on your server and you don't know me, otherwise you'd be aware of the fact that I use Cloak to drop targets when I have 2+ players on me, not as a "**** out of this fight."

Take away my assassins stealth, then you also need to take away the jumping ability of certain classes as well. And the Pulls of other classes. And the covers of other classes. God forbid that every class has some ability special to them that can be used to their advantage over other players.

Im an IA Operative. I have low damage output and low defense. If you do away with my stealth I would have to get a massive defensive buff (to compensate for the defensive nature of stealth) or else you will have massively unbalanced my class. Considering my in combat stealth is on a 5 min cool down and your damage/defense is always on, I disagree with your claim that stealth is broken.
