The game is slowly coming together

At launch things were a little rough, i gotta admit.

But considering the things that are coming down the pipe....legacy stuff, rated warzones, combat logs its starting to really shape up.

i fully expect the game to be up to par after 1.2 and really hitting its stride by 1.3

despite what the doom and gloom sayers say

You mean all the stuff (basic features) you haven't actually seen in the game yet?

I don't exactly see the point of this thread.

You didnt see that he is pointing out that the game is improving and improving?

It is? I hadn't noticed. I agree with Cepheid about the things that should've been ingame from day one but are coming in the not too distant future.

Yeah, sure, it looks all rosey then but i'm not that easily bought over.

alright..stop with the crap already.

Stop being one of the "this should have been in at launch" people. Well you know what? It wasn't, that is in the past... and start enjoying what's coming.

Exactly, a lot of stuff like the customizable UI should have been in at release, was asked for in general beta around a year ago and apparently they just saved that idea for a miracle patch to pretend all of a sudden they are listening.

BW ignored a lot of the basic features we were concerned about and instead put it on what they call a "wall of crazy" which means **** we'll let them have in a patch to pretend we're listening.

Don't you understand? Players like him are never happy, and will always find something to complain about.

Yeah, this is for you, all of the "should've been in at launch" people. Bloody hell, did you even play WoW in its first year? How long did it take Blizzard to figure most of these things out? Some of them were years into it, like guild banks and the like. So for the love of all things holy, stop complaining about something minor not being put into the game at release. They aren't even 3 months in yet, and are already light-years ahead of where WoW was at this time. Yeah, some things would make life a little easier, but ffs give them a chance to get things rolling. It's not like BW has done this before. And besides, they are trying to make this a decent game, despite EA's interference. If EA will give them what they need, instead of smothering them like they did WAR, this game will be brilliant. So for the last time, either stop complaining or move on and leave us that actually look forward to this game succeeding discuss things without a bunch of QQ'ing... Edited by Darkrobes

"Start enjoying what's coming"? I don't exactly understand this comment. I should be pleased with the fact that they're adding AC to a car I've already bought or that I should just be happy that they told me one day they hope to fix the AC in my new car? Perhaps I should just be happy that they're still mailing me pictures of a family in my car enjoying AC?

Players like me are happy when I find the game I paid for more entertaining than staring at the forums. Thanks for generalizing and lumping me into your judgment pile typical bastard #6389 from the internet. It's always easier to generalize and dismiss than use any amount of critical thinking or communication skills in an attempt at understanding. Personal attribution errors all around.

If I didn't want the game to succeed I wouldn't make my voice heard at all nor would I go through the trouble of dealing with group thinkers who can't stand dissenting points of view. I do however hope the game works out but ignoring the problems or rationalizing them doesn't fix anything nor help others articulate and understand the basic inherent flaws in the game in current state. My only hope is that the method of design isn't systemic and that they can change the direction it's headed.

It's not getting better it's getting worse.

Players are leaving by the hoards, there's no content in coming, no real fixes to anything wrong with the game. The game is dying, no one likes it the player reviewers have been more about how poor the game is then anything good about it. So yes it's not getting better it's going down the same road every MMO that isn't named WoW or GW2 has gone down. Being yet another game that could have been good but turned out to be bad.

Do you realize how long it took for AC to become standard in cars?

Maybe in 10 more years those things you people keep harping on as "standard" will actually become standard, but for now all you can do is either complain/quit while you wait, or sit back and be patient.

Yup it's asking to much to expect a guild bank on release after all it's an innovative new feature still on the cutting edge of MMO innovation. My fault as I just kind of assumed it was a given "standard" feature in MMOs. Apparently I've been spoiled on the exceptional designs of games like RIFT, WARHAMMER, WoW and the other %90 of MMOs available.

Its not getting worse, like the first post said, its improving and improving and also its crowd, that you like pandas, your business. Never been at releases? It may not be the best, but imo it went smooth enough to say its a good one, regardless of what they high expected players might think about the game not beeing compete...hench patches boys! Patches! Would everybody like WoW when tehy released BC, WotlK, Cata and panda land at release..cmon.

Ya all used to games like wow established for many years etc etc. Been saying the same thing in 10 posts now.

Loving the game, lovin whats commin, loving cake!

When it comes to mmo's these days, mediocrity doesn't cut it. It HAS to have all the standard features we've become accustomed and it has to have more to endgame and leveling up than just pvp and pve, there have to be other things to do. Datacrons (mario bros.), crapply space games, and pitiful excuse for crafting will not cut it and we said as much in general beta.

No doubt that launch was VERY smooth but unfortunately as soon as you hit 50 you saw how unfinished the game was. My main concern currently is stuff like "Patch Notes" that incorrectly state fixes and the Devs complete inability to fix a bugged encounter without creating 2 more. My honest concern is not the features but a complete lack of faith in the development teams ability to implement them correctly. But yeah the launch was very smooth and I'm still hoping they've gotten their collective **** together for patch 1.2.

And you say that on every forum of every MMO. There isnt only PvP.. There also Operations. Course you cleared it! then wait for the next one! Oh wait that comes soon!

That was 2004. 8 years ago. EIGHT.

Do you even remember what computers were like 8 years ago? How much technology has evolved since then?

Call it lack of something, sure some stuff shud have been fixed, but arent they fixing it? They are, maybe nto as fast as we want to, sure but they are. Wish ppl had a bit more patient, and i to got to 50 rather quick and experienced no bugs that really matters that much or even that would make me quit.. Time, folks, time.

OK, how about a look into how these things actually work...

http://mrlizard.com/rants/why-havent-they-fixed-this-bug/

And yet again, whining about something doesn't fix the problem any faster. So grow up

How dare that person for calling people talking about how a bug should be fixed a crybaby. He lost me right at that if he's trying to make a point and insults anyone reading.
