ManDogTrain
Im level 27 madness asassin and im doing well. Average 7-8 medals every pvp game but what I can not figure out is why everyone says discharge is so useful. When I use it I dont notice is doing anything.. The discription it gives in games varies from everything I read here on the net and these forums.. Does it do continuous light damage to the target after you hit them or is is resetting your cooldowns.. i dont know but it hasnt been that useful for me that i have noticed.. looking for more info on this ability:confused:
Toxification
It'll do the total damage listed over the duration of 18 second. Assuming you are madness spec'd you should always be using discharge as it'll let you proc Raze which gives you access to an instant crushing darkness which is very powerful. IsACoolGuy
Yes as madness it is used as a dot, its good to always have it on your target. Many people will death field a couple people, tab discharge 3 people, then go on with their single target rotation.

Hopefully the way I worded that last sentence helps you distinguish the two. The saber charge effects from Lightning Charge does direct damage, proc'ing at 50% chance from just about everthing you do that uses a global cooldown. The Discharge while Lightning Charge is active is the 18-second dot. The reason why people say it's so useful is because it has no cooldown, you can charge into a group of enemy targets, and Discharge-tab-Discharge-tab-Discharge and collect simultaneous damage from all dotted targets even after you're killed for the 18-second durations. The fact tyou said you dont notice it doing anything is what's great about it, it's a set-it-and-forget damage with no cooldown, cast it on a bunch of targets and be on your merry way to whatever you want to do. Cast a Death Field on up to 3 of the dotted targets and you can collect some decent force regen as well. Currently you can even cast it on ppl trying to cap the node you're guarding. Say 3 enemies come after the node you're solo guarding, you Discharge on all 3 before they kill you, they cannot cap the node for 18 seconds even with you dead. Plenty of time for help to arrive.
