Smoother flow of combat animations?

I've had this pet peeve for a while and I am not sure if it's been suggested before, I did some searches of this forum and didn't turn up anything. So apologies if it's been mentioned already!

 

I've noticed that with combat animations (prime example - Sith Warrior/Jedi Knight) that there always seems to be this pause between ability animations, giving the impression that the character isn't moving fluidly between attacks, and instead going back to a resting animation before performing the next "move". Perhaps this is because of the lack of auto-attack for combat animations to be layered over?

 

It's a small thing I suppose (and probably not so small to implement), but I wish that the look of each "attack" actually looked like it flowed into the next a bit better, instead of giving this sense of a "pause" in animation between each ability use, no matter how fast you hit your ability buttons off the global cool-down.
