Endgame gearing for dps Sorc

So, I've been 50 for a couple weeks now. I have my Rakata ear, implants, belt, and bracers. I also have a couple of the energized pieces that I re-modded with crit/surge mods to get rid of the alacrity mods. Now I'm in a bit of a quandary:

I've been running HM's and ops and have enough emblems/shards to get at least 2 pieces of the Tionese gear. However, of course, I knew that all of the Tionese/Columi/Rakata armor has nothing but alacrity on it. Outside of the belt/bracers, I have 5 pieces of armor that have all been outfitted with crit/power/surge (in that priority order). These pieces are also comparable stat wise to the Tionese gear because of the mods I have in them.

Now, if I were to go through with it and start buying up the Tionese gear, I stand to lose at least 100 crit rating (my helm is the only piece without at least 25 crit rating) in favor of a ton of alacrity which I absolutely hate. My current crit rating is around 290. More to the point, the Columi/Rakata gear has the same worthless Alacrity rating on it.

So my question is this: for those of you in full Columi/Rakata gear, did you just suck it up and start buying it all and let your crit chance be taken care of by the increase in Willpower from the endgame gear or did you hold onto the gear you had until you started getting Columi/Rakata gear? Also, have any of you been remodding your Columi/Rakata gear to get rid of the alacrity in favor of crit/surge?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so in the end game gear sets, there are multiple sets. For a sorc, there is force master and force mystic. One of those sets will have Alacrity for the healers and the other will have crit and power and surge for the DPS. I cant remember which is which off the top of my head. My toon is 4/5 columi with the Rakata chest and main hand. Im the leading dps in our raid group. If you have any other questions, shoot me a message on this. Peace

From what I could see, most of the Master/Mystic all have the same alacrity junk on it. The only differences I saw between the two were in the base stats (Willpower/Endurance). The Columi/Rakata gear was all the same as well.

Edit: Nope I was wrong. Must have been looking at the wrong sets cuz I just checked Torhead and you're right. The one thing I did notice, however, was that the Rakata gear has no surge rating at all on it.

Thanks for the info.

Get the Mods and Enhancement from other Columi/Rakata and build yourself the Gear you want. At least that's what I'm doing.

Very good Enhancement to get: Power/Surge from Columi Agent Gloves.

That's what I was thinking I was gonna have to do. I just wasn't looking forward to having to get 2 or 3 of the same pieces just to get the mods I want for the other pieces.

Now if my guild leader would decide if he wants me dps or heals so I can stop respecing and having the wrong stat priorities I'll be set.

What you would really like is the endurance/surge/power enhancment(Adept enhancement). Aside from the fact that you will find that Rakata gear does have more crit/surge and less of the alacrity that the Columi set has, the pvp pieces have some of the right enhancements for you. I believe the Champion helm has an Adept enhancement in it and I know the Imperial Agent gloves do. Yes, you can simply buy the IA gloves and take the enhancement out of it and put it into your gear to clear out some of the unwanted alacrity. It will still be level 56 stuff, so you should get more toward the stats you want.

While the Rakata earpiece does have alacrity, I KNOW for SURE that the rakata implants you get from the dailys on Ilum and Belsavis have Crit/Surge (51/51 i believe).

Currently, I believe I am sitting at close to 31% crit and 76% on the critical multiplier.
