karimi
Seems like its a less explored part of the "I'm 50 what now ?" problem. Its 1 am, theres literally 10 people on my server at the moment. All my dailies are done, and no chance of finding enough people for pvp or pve. My companions have been sent out to do their tasks. So I ask you, am I supposed to just go offline or level an alt ? For the sake of comparison, in WoW the most prominent answer now would be crafting. I would either be fishing, gathering mats, doing archeology. As crafting in this game has been stripped down to a series of buttons to press every 30-40 minutes, it has also removed a major way people can spend their free time. Between the dismal populations on EU servers, a poor crafting system which provides neither flavor nor joy, and a series of dailies that were completed in peak hours, a player is left with nothing better to do than close the game and wait for the reset. Its 1am , what now ? Go to the forums, I suppose.

I think he's complaining he doesn't have to waste his time gathering his own mats for crafting.
Dayfax
Late night in WoW I'd fish the Dal sewers & chain run WSG. You can pretty much do the same thing in SWTOR, but there aren't any grindable mini games & the queue times can vary wildly between servers. Master-Nala
Are you suggesting that MMORPGs must have something for you to do all the time? That doesn't seem very reasonable.

Having options of things to do during offtimes would be nice. Like you mention here, there was fishing, or achievement hunting, gathering resources yourself, etc etc. Other games have things like this. Would be nice if they'd bring similar things to TOR. I have plenty of things. Maybe it's just because your server is dead. Have you tried changing servers?
LucisAbyssus
Wait...you're complaining that at 1 am there aren't enough people on......at 1am.....wonder where they could be,....? 1am Sunday morning on a weekend with most college students just hitting spring break = usually higher population on servers. Serously, if you are going to be up at 1 am, maybe you need to pick another server where 1 am your time is when most on the server is up and awake. True, valid point, there are things to do, dunno about plenty but there are things to do. But to put things in context, the op was complaining about lack of crafting, harvesting and so on, which is a rather valid complaint.

I'm one of the weirdos who *loved* fishing. Perfectly mindless activity to do between battleground matches, with enough rewards to make the grind worth it. Talahar
But that is true, the game still lacks on activities that aren't questing, flashpoints, pvp, operations. The space game is nice, but you can only do it so often before it's the same old same old. Also, its rewards are still lacking as well. So yeah, some additional activity that provides horizontal character advancement would be nice. Pazaak for example could be just such a thing. Both playable against other players and NPCs, rewards could be titles and new cards, orange items without mods slotted, maybe credits? Swoop racing: again both vs players and NPCs, rewards would be swoop bike mods, different bikes, again titles, orange armor, probably swoop bikes that could be used as our speeder transports. The important thing is that these activities don't provide power in a YOU NEED TO DO THIS OR WE KICK YOU!!!! way, but rather improve your performance in the minigame. And they need to be fun too. I'm absolutely sure that we'll see stuff like this added eventually, and I hope that this will at least get adressed at the guild summit.
