BlackUnitXX
Hi Guys, I have a question about how to use skill points. I have a Jedi Sentinel and I don't know where to place these points Do you just hog a tree or do you even divide them? Thanks!
_JediKnight
If you go to the Jedi Sentinal section in the Class forum there are a couple stickied threads that will be very helpful, even a few skill builds linked in there that you can use as a guideline. http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=

Erulinda
People will usualy hog their points in 1 tree, then take a few of the lower tier ones in another.... Mixing it may give you more toys to play with (abilities ) but it will ofcourse mean they will be weaker over all... Been thinking about a split spec for my Jedi Sent too to be honest, still unsure if the extra force leap shares the same CD-timer as the standard JK one
DelphinHunter
Yeh I'm researching this too. I redid my tree last night from Combat to Watchman. free the first time. Guy in lower left of space station map? Will likely pay the 500 credits to go back and change it again to combat? Not sure if price goes up. 700? Basically seems to depend on your style, whether your doing DPS PVE PVP. Seems most put all in one tree to get to top tier using the minimum of 5 per tier. Then use some on other build ie 4 focus 3 watchman. for DPS combat build. Seems sentinel gets tough in 30's if you dont keep up with everything, gear, mods training etc. ie new hilt(s) every 2 odd numbered levels. All fun, good luck. some samples: http://www.squidoo.com/jedi-knight-build Edited February 29, 2012 by DelphinHunter

Have fun leaping all over the screen.
KruelhandJorb
yeah but don't think you'll be a jack rabbit. Zealous Leap's range is equal to the minium range of Force Charge, yes it's more mobility but it's not like you're riding a pogo stick all over Huttball

biowareftw
Hi Guys, I have a question about how to use skill points. I have a Jedi Sentinel and I don't know where to place these points Do you just hog a tree or do you even divide them? Thanks! http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIbRrRdfGzZhMM.1 That is your spec. For everything! Do not pass go. Do not listen to other people. 1-3 percent accuracy is NOT going to break a spec and this allows you to catch GOOD ranged. Besides you can easily get to 105 accuracy with pvp gear. When we get dual spec? The only other spec we will run is full focus for perma speed buff to party, and I would only use it for rated warzones, and I would only bring 1 person specced this way. If you are determined to be focus? Make a Guardian. Combat is "ok" but horrible against geared GOOD players. The only time you would deviate from the spec I linked is if you were ONLY doing pve and needed some more accuracy while raiding. For leveling? Go all the way up watchman first (at least 31 points) before speccing the rest into combat. Level with ship droid till Doc (to make it easy). Put t7's gear on him and no he can't use a main hand weapon, but it doesn't matter. You can solo 2 man quests with him with ease by using rebuke (lasts 30 seconds while being hit).
