24 hour ban for WZ quitting

Title says it all. To make it semi-fair for people looking to hit a specific WZ make it so that anyone that quits more than 10 seconds after the match starts get a ban. Perhaps make it so the first offense is 1 hour, second offense (in a 24 hour period) is 3 hours, 3rd offense (in 48 hours) is 12 hours, and 4th offense (in 72 hours) is a 24 ban from WZs.

That would severely hamper those that hop into a WZ and quit as soon as they're down 1-0 or 2-0 in Huttball, or get 2 capped in Alderaan or quit after the first door goes down in Voidstar.

That could even be tied into AFKers getting kicked out by having a better AFK requirement than staying at the start point, like requiring them to damage an enemy or heal a friend at least once every 2 or 3 minutes during a WZ.

Discuss.

Your rules would be a blessing for all the people who are suffering random crashes or have unstable internet connections!

Or who have that thing thats called... real life. "No, I can't answer the door honey, I will get kicked for 24 hours from the WZs, because my PC already crashed earlier".

i suggest that wz leavers should be castrated and Gaddafi'd for eternety. that should show them.

but seriously, you cant ban someone for leaving a warzone.....some people have AT&T or some other totally worthless internet that drops them all the time. those people dont deserver to be castrated and Gaddafi'd.....

It's already been hashed out, many times in fact, on these forums over the past few weeks. Bioware has most likely already taken our suggestions, combined them with their own ideas, and come up with what they think is the best possible solution.

That being said, even I, one of the strongest advocates here for quitter punishment, will say that 24 hour bans for anything other than hacking/duping/cheating/etc is way too harsh a punishment. Warzone quitting doesn't warrant a 24 hour ban from doing warzones. 30 minutes max.

5 minutes for the first offense in a 24 hour period. This will cover ANYONE who has the random internet disconnect inconvenience, or the random client crash that people talk about after getting once a night after doing several warzones, etc.

15 minutes seems most reasonable after that. Again, 30 minutes being the most extreme, and I don't see that happening.

Hello everyone,

We already have a thread discussing players leaving Warzones and what penalties [if any] should be taken against them:

People leaving wz is now out of control.

In the spirit of keeping our forums organized and similar discussions as consolidated as possible, we ask that you share your thoughts and feedback in the previously existing thread, as we will be closing this one.

Thank you!
