Wewa
After 2 months of playing here is my opinion about SWTOR. 1. General SW atmosphere. - non existent, Last 30 days I am standing inside Republic fleet hub and playing warzones to get armor. I was never twice on any of the planets I just to pass in single player part of game (first month), since there is no point in going back to those planets I am trapped on space station and don't have any Star Wars feeling 2. Socializing. - non existent, Except 4 people from my home town who helped me create guild and 5 people I played with during single player leveling I did not had any friendship with anyone. People in this game are just not interested. They quit warzones when they lose, only chat available is LFG or something.... 3. Role playing I joined RP / PvP server with expectation to have some RP experiences but without chat bubbles and places where you can hang out there is no RP at all. (I made one toon on every RP server just to see if anyone is RPing - result = 0) 4. Combat Combat is good but very boring since it always happening on same places (3 WZ and Ilum). Open world PvP is non existent on other worlds because no one is walking around, I mean no one, except people who are grinding their single player part. 5. Meaning I did not expect that SWTOR will offer some meaning to my gaming experience but this level of meaningless is too much for me. There is nothing to strive for in SWTOR, no long term achievement, no things to build. 6. Conclusion I look like everyone else, I have same equipment + - 10% like everyone else, I am on same place like everyone else. I did not achieved anything, seen nothing. All I will carry from this gaming experience is that I vaguely remember some part of single player game. This game is one huge disappointing experience. This game is one huge disappointing experience. 1) so you decided to level via pvp queue and are wondering why there is no SW experience? I think you answered that yourself. 2) same thing. you choose if you socialize or not. My friends list is full of people I have quested, pvped, FPd etc with and never have an issue with finding in game people to do things with. 3) you are sitting in fleet doing WZ queues.. Wonder why you haven't found any RP? Seriously? 4) again you choose how to play. you choose to sit in fleet. 5) sitting in fleet and queuing, not looking for social activities, not making friends other than your 4 RL buddys is the reason the game has no meaning to you. You choose how you play, I dont think I would blame the game for anything you posted as it is all your choice. Just a bunch of qq you brought on yourself

GOYAFIDO
this is not a survey This. Still I find it interesting that so many people on the forums and on websites blame Bioware for the social inclinations of today's player base. People are more insular and less social in a lot of ways despite, (or perhaps because of in some ways), social media. We have more ways to be together apart then we ever had before and I think peoples interaction in MMOs reflects this. Without existing varied reasons for group interest there won't be as much grouping as there could be. Bioware added social ranks and gear. Hey it's something! Even in a game like EVE, there are plenty of players who solo, and EVE has many more reasons to want to move and interact in groups, (albeit EVE's open nature also attracts griefers and trolls and actively supports their activities with little or no consequence past being "concordokkened" thus vastly reducing EVE's potential customer base size...), so to blame people's lack of interest in socializing on the developer doesn't seem very reasonable. Wewa
Lol, funniest part of this is that people who are defending this game are on forums, not playing. This game is such mindless grind that not even you people defending it want to play. Honestly I had really high expectancy for SWTOR, I wanted it to be better than SWG, but it is not MMO game at all. Concept of this game is what makes socializing obsolete. Let me explain. You don't need other players at all, for anything ever in this game. If you want armor you have to grind FP or WZ. If you want weapon same grind again. if you want anything same as above. There is no point into buying anything from other players since everyone is on starfleet. Players are in FP and WZ, no where else. So why would you buy anything from them?

Honestly I had really high expectancy for SWTOR, I wanted it to be better than SWG, but it is not MMO game at all. first of all this is NOT a grind. WOW is not a grind, AION is not a grind. ORIGINAL Everquest had lots of points of GRIND! second of all i'm on the forums when i'm doing other things like waiting for my car to be serviced and i can't be at home playing. or i'm watching a movie I want to see oh lots of different things. what amazes me is the number of people who will complain endlessly and when they get what they want they continue to complain and end up paying to keep their subs yet keep threatening to leave and not pay again. i laugh when i hear the wine of people saying this game is a GRIND! I bet you work at McDonalds, and complain what a grind it is don't you? You say it doesn't require a group but then state that you need a group (FPs, OPs) to get the best gear. You are full of contradiction. I am betting at this point you are trolling because no one is this foolish.
