After months of hardcore research and practice, I've managed to get 300k dmg regularly in most WZs with 5 or 6 medals. I also have a level 27 Jedi Guardian, speced tank, that I average 75k to 85k dmg and 5 or so medals. SO... I started a Trooper a couple of days ago, hit level 10 queued for a WZ and pulled #3 in damage, with 180k and 5 medals. I hadn't even picked an AC, and I only used about 4 buttons. I was amazed, at how easy it was. I queued again, and the same thing happened. Once I get my taunt and defend, the tank medals will start rolling in as well. I feel like all that effort with my marauder was for nothing, when I could have rolled a trooper and beat my face on the keyboard to get 10 medals and 300k dmg at level 50. It isn't just the trooper at low level it's all classes due to the fact that their gear scales better because they have up to date gear when starting out. The only thing is, my Marauder and Guardian's damage have both steadly increased as they leveled up. If it turns out to be the same with the Trooper, then my damage will be insane by level 50. To be fair though, I'm not saying troopers are over powered, I'm just saying they scale too well at low levels, and they have a much easier difficulty curve than the oher classes I have tried. But that is just my experence so far. Marauder is probably one of the most difficult MMO classes I have ever played, so my opinion may be a bit skewed at this point. GoldSquadGirl Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) I agree with the above few posters, but I do think Troopers in particular scale deceptively high in low level arenas. Part of this is because in early warzones our opponents have trained fewer interrupting skills, and we have the most abilities with long interruptable warmups. Troopers are the class most vulnerable to interrupts, take the interrupts out and Trooper is a very powerful PVP class. When you get to 50, you'll need to use more like 20 abilities at the correct times to even remain competitive. I find that Gunnery commandos at the early levels do the most damage, but gunnery spec at 50 is easily stopped with a few stuns here and there. And level 50 imps have many stuns that are faster than our ability activation speeds. (Hence why I finally went assault.)
