SubScene
also the chart that has the diminishing returns says that at 200 crit rating i would have 7.5% chance of crit, but i have like 7.4% chance from my crit rating at 104.
terminova
That as the higher a stat gets, the boost provided by increasing it drops. The boost curve tends to be a 1/X style curve such that the benefit gained by increasing the stat starts high, and as you keep increasing the stat, the benefit gained gets lower. Ojaix
The diminishing return is put in place to prevent over stacking of 1 stat such as crit or surge. The biggest problem with it imo is the tool tip never gives you your stat with the actual number where diminishing returns start, which would be nice. Sure you can ask around and get what someone thinks is correct but as it changes that info isn't always correct.
WickedTexan
Think of it like a Hot Dog. You know how good that first bite is? Now, as you work your way through towards the end, the last bite is no where near as good as the first.

It cannot tell you that because you always suffer from DR, it's just not as noticeable until your stats get closer to the cap.

Ojaix
It cannot tell you that because you always suffer from DR, it's just not as noticeable until your stats get closer to the cap. Actually in most cases the DR doesn't start until you hit a soft cap on a stat. Usually DR is put in place instead of a hard cap on stats. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too hard to actually display information that is already calculated for each stat.
