Huttball imbalance

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but in huttball, the frogdogs ALWAYS win. I'm not saying they've won 3 times in a row, I'm saying they've won 13 times in a row. I have played around 15 huttball games, and the rotworms have literally won once. As if that wasn't weird enough, the frog-dogs have never got lower than 3 points in any match I've played. If you're still not convinced, let me add that while the frogdogs get 3+, the rotworms get 0. Not even a single point. There's no way that's a coincidence, there's just no way.

 

P.S. I'm playing on the server Krath.

So what you're saying is that the republic players on your server are better than the imperials? Or, more realistically, the server is so overpopulated with imps that you get 2 teams of imps killing each other and one of them is probably a premade and is destroying you and your PUG.

 

This doesn't warrant a topic.

I like Huttball more than the other two, personally. Mainly because it's the only one that genuinely tries to be different to common MMO staples. It can get boring on those occasions when it's all that comes up but I have the good fortune to play on a fairly balanced server so it doesn't happen often these days.

 

I'd actually like it if they designed 2-3 new Huttball maps to play on - same rules (don't kick the ball!) but different layout, hazards, routes to the endzones, etc. We at least know we're getting another faction vs faction WZ in 1.2, whatever form it might come in - should ease the feeling of overexposure to The Pit we get at the moment anyway :)

Been keeping track of this, since I hit 50 a few days ago.

 

Server: The Fatman

Huttball games played: 19

Imp wins: 0

Republic wins: 19

Average game length: 6:37

Average score: 0-6, Repubs (not average but every single game)

 

The Republic's have a class that can 'grapple/yank/pull' their own teammates to the end zone. There's no viable way to compete against this. All we can do is grapple and jump, but so can they.

 

It's terribly unbalanced.

 

PS Huttball is my fav for what it's worth.

Yellow is a faster colour than purple. or Slugs run too slowly.

 

I have not noticed this trend myself but I play both Imperial and republic characters on the Asia - Pacific servers.

 

Huttball is not my favorite game BUT a pop is a pop and we either play here or take the normal 200ms hit....

Everything a Republic player can do, an Imperial class can do as well, they are mirrored. They are just better than you.

Games aren't fun when you lose all the time right?

you get the most kills/damage/etc. is this what's important? No? then why is everyone not on the ball carrier or the people he could pass to?

 

look for the ones that can pull and are trying to get into position to do so and knock em down, kick em, kill em, stun em, CC em or make em move. just going after the ones that can receive a pass makes a difference.

 

Also what about your side's people that can extricate/rescue/pull the ball carrier? where are they? off fighting in a corner somewhere....as usual and they want to win? lol
