Gronsolo
I have noticed for operatives when their version of upper hand procs their character laughs or giggles. Does the same occur for smugglers? I've never heard it on my character when playing and I think it would be beneficial if we had such a feature. Maybe we do and I'm just not hearing it. Thank you for any responses.

Melkathi
I am having trouble playing non-scoundrel characters. It get's so quiet without the constant maniacal giggling.

Certain specs the "giggle" does not trigger. In my Sawbones (Heal) spec which has certain heal spells to only pop when Upper Hand triggers never has the sound effect. scootshoot
yes it does. the giggle sounds when slow-release medpac procs upper hand. Thats with a proper point or two in that skill tree. If you read the upper hand process tool tip, it's supposed to process when defeating an enemy, activating blaster whip or shoot first. I don't have shoot first yet but the *giggle* definitely does not process with Kill blows or blaster whip. Need to have medpac skill box. In summary, it's broke Edited February 28, 2012 by scootshoot
yaerian
Noticed my scrapper giggles when your sucker punch with flying fists gives back UH (full round 2, so 50% of the time).
Fuzzboxo
As far as I can make out, the giggle/chuckle only happens when Upper Hand is re-granted via a talent; either Medpac Mastery or Round Two depending on spec (and presuambly the equivalent talents for Operative). The initial granting via Shoot First, Blaster Whip, a killing blow, or Underworld Medicine with Exploratory Surgery talented doesn't seem to cause the giggle/chuckle. I'm guessing this is by design as all of the listed effects are a guaranteed trigger for UH, whereas the talents are only a percentage chance to proc (or in the case of Round Two, a guaranteed trigger but off another percentage chance). Baelish
I don't think the giggle happens when you actively generate an UH, only when something passive procs it. So when Talented SRM gives you a UH, but not when you Blaster Whip. Because you know you've just done something that gives you an UH token if you BW or UM (or whatever) but the random "chance on tick" ones you wouldn't know they'd procced if the character didn't giggle. happysister
If the present UH sound queue is done by design, it was planned poorly i dunno. i don't think i'd want to hear a giggle every time i use certain skills like pistol whip. i mean you know you'll get a stack of UH when you use the skill. why do you need the sound to confirm? MelliMelon
giggling on UH procs, yes. Hard not to hear one, even in the middle of hot fights. Was that pun intentional? Because it cracked me up... "even in the middle of [HoT] fights"
