TBowler
So I get that people like the game, and some don't like it. So lets have a troll free zone and have a discussion on what you like about the game and would love to see more of, and what you don't like about the game and what they could fix or what you would like to see less of. For me, I like the story line and see great potential in that, but the fps drops that make it seem like a slideshow is a bit of a game breaker for me. So for that I have unsubbed, but I do want to see the game succeed which is why I opened this thread.
Darth_Bond
posting on these forums and asking for constructive criticism is like jumping into the ocean, off the cape of south africa, while bleeding slightly and not expecting great white sharks to show up. sorry to burst your bubble laddie. TBowler
Please, no hate posts. Also, if you don't agree with someone's opinion don't bash it. They have their opinion and you have yours. Please keep this troll free... PLEASE!?

Meldwyn
Unsubbing and asking for a constructive thread without attacks is an oxymoron. I get why you unsubbed and that you are having frame rate issues. Is that the only reason you unsubbed (but still want it to succeed)?
Jenel
Indeed, I'm not sure how unsubbing is constructive to the game doing well. If you want the game to do well then support it. However I can't really see this thread going anywhere, the subject is to broad to keep it on track without completely derailing or being trolled to death. It's best to post a thread with a single subject, whether that be discussing the games story, what you would like to see in future, or even what you feel is needing improved that way you keep it focussed and allow for constructive feedback that the Devs can see clearly. The forums as a whole are what you are trying to do in a single thread, it won't happen. Also, bumping your own thread after 5 minutes of posting? Amdramnar
So lets have a troll free zone I was going to reply but unfortunately the OP put the above in his post. Dang it. Then again, people who put such things in their post are the same who thing puting "No Weapons Allowed" sign on doors will keep criminals out. Stelakh
What I'd like to see fixed is something that likely will never happen. The HERO engine is simply insufficient (see other posts about it around the forums) for the game itself - and that means that the game is flawed at its core. If I could wave a magic wand and have my way, it'd be a complete redesign from the ground up - including the building of a custom engine. Something that would be representative of the amount of time and money spent on ToR, not a licensed Beta version of a third-party engine. I truly believe that if the engine were dealt with, many of the problems in the game would go away. And less of? The voiceovers. They were a nice touch at first, it's surprising how quickly they became an annoyance. It'd be nice to have an option to turn them off completely if you want to. I think that if they'd spent a lot less on making ToR the biggest voice-over project in gaming history and more on the engine, it'd have been so much better. DJunior
Mostly, I like that its Star Wars. I also think the planets look amazing although I do prefer more open-world style environments. Check SWG's planets. I'm very much a fan of the games art work though. Also, I like the crafting although I think SWG did this way way better and allowed for very singular results depending on the resources, where you found them, the quality. It really helped those who wanted to focus on crafting succeed. You even had to plant vaporators to gather resources! TOR's crafting has some nice and original things about it, I'm just amazed that it seems like TOR payed attention to nothing of what SWG actually did right, although there wasn't much. Oh... just wanted to add, I want macros. I don't think they make the game easier, nor do I think they make it unfair. They're relatively easy to learn to set up and use, and they help add a lot of mobility, especially to melee classes, in pvp. This helps because ranged classes enjoy a big advantage when melee classes have poor mobility. Go ahead and disagree everyone, but the same old gameplay as WoW and virtually every other MMO in existence is even slower without macros. Face it, Bioware, you should have changed the system, now you're a prisoner of it and all it's little evils. Macros are unfortunately one of them, and also unfortunately, this old format functions better with them than without. Admit it. That's why they've always been around. Couple of other things that I think are imminently important. Server transfers. The planets are dead. I'd like to see some form of a combat log, even if it is only just my own stats. Full combat log is better though, IMO. More open communication from dev team to customers. That alone would cut back on a lot of the negative threads and posts here in the forums and enthuse a lot of players (example: why am I here right now?) into being logged into TOR rather than wondering whether or not they want to stick it out any longer with TOR. I bought this game because I want to be playing it for a long time to come. When you figure in all the compiled subscription fees, these games are quite an investment, needless to say. I'm playing for now, but like I said this is kind of an old game in a new suit. Star Wars, the name, is really why I'm here, so I really need the game to live up. So for me, here is my main issue summed up very simply. SWTOR vs GW2 (or maybe The Secret World) old game, new suit (but it's Star Wars) vs. new game, new suit. For me, that's a difficult choice. I'm counting on Bioware to not screw this up. Also, Bioware, you're going to get some time to fix things while I'm playing ME3. More money in your pockets. Do this right. Please!
