Meekx
So i am a Vanguard and i went cybertech to make myself mods and armor. I see on the comm's vendors you can buy commando armor/mobs but i have yet to see any recipes for them. Is this based off schematics or are they only purchasable from comm's vendors? Mozivicus
You buy (learn) the schematics from the cybertech skills trainer on the fleet (carrick station). New schematics show up that are commensurate with your cybertech skill level.
Sconnoll
Also better schematics drop from hm fp's and ops. These schems can be superior to the vendor bought ones.

AtPlay
my trainer does not have any commando schematics. Yeah they do. Commando Armoring starts at 14 (level 33).

GnatB
If you want crafted tank armor, (i.e. with +defense) you have to get it from a ARMORmech (or synthweaver). The mods with +defense are only available via dailies/commendations. (personally, I think BioWare messed up with Cybertech. I'd almost argue the skill shouldn't exist. Too much overlap with other skills. And what's there seems largely missing. Just seems poorly thought out.) Always sort of amuses me when I see some tank speced guy, with full orange gear... and like 5-10% chance of defending due to no +defense.
Gyromite
Are you confusing Armor with Armoring? Armor is the gear that you can wear which is crafted by picking up armormech. Armoring is an slot found on most customizable gear (ie: orange and purples) and is similiar to Mods and Enhancements. You can increase stats using this slot and cybertech provides these via your skill trainer. You can obtain the higher quality version of these by using the reverse engineering method found on another thread at the top of this forum. Hope this helps Safe Journey, Zewm
Bammur
Yeah they do. Commando Armoring starts at 14 (level 33). Is this true for patron armouring as well?
GnatB
Yep, the other *stat* balances of mods all open up at the same point. (i.e. more end than aim or vice versa) But again, cybertech mods/armorings only ever give +crit or +power as their bonus stats, never + defense. (Now, it's possible that's fine. Can't remember if commando mods are the tank mods with more end, or the offensive ones with more aim.)
