Voidstar.....Shield??

So how are you suppose to disarm the bomb when you are stuck behind the shield for over 26 seconds.

 

Ex. Was defending a wall and i ended up dying. Enemy runs up to the door and I release. After i release and spawn it takes 8 seconds to plant. My team was stuck behind the shield for the whole duration of the bomb being planted and it going off.

 

in other words I died and release before they clicked on the door and as i release other people were already waiting for the shield to come down, and we were stuck behind it for the whole duration. im saying maybe 28 seconds.

 

 

Bioware. please lower the shield time so then we at least have time to disarm the bomb

Same thing happened to a team I was with earlier .... not 1 game ... but 3 or 4 different groups in Voidstar. The opposition were running around below us because we were stuck .. and they'd planted bombs. We lost valor, comms and the games because of it. Edited by AvalonBunny

happens on our side as well. annoying door it clicks and gets stuck on the bottom right blink thing and stays stuck for a long time. my whole team was stuck in there and i noticed it while imps where attacking on voidstar.

 

both side i meant get stuck in vulkar highway.

I thought that was the whole point? Demolish the other team and plant the bomb before they can come back after rezzing? Am I missing something?

 

Sometimes you can get booted for the shield being up for over a minute. Died the shield never went down and people were quitting the game not because they wanted to but because the game forced them to....

Has happenwd to me several times.

 

Ive also queued and spawned up on the upper catwalks of voidstar. Outside of the shield. Had a bomb planted before the rest of my team was all out of the shielded room.

 

Swtor is by far the buggiest mmo ive ever played.

i don't think you have the total time right... it may have felt that long but i don't think that's right

 

circle in the door has 4 quadrants - it pulses 4 times per quadrant - 1s per pulse

 

max time = 16s

 

is it not?

 

(edit: that's when it doesn't bug which is what everyone seems to be experiencing in this thread)

I dont mind waiting behind the wall for the timer to tick down, but my complaint is the fact that if you die defending the first set of dorrs and they plant while you are still behind the wall, then their whole team can actually pass your team and is able to extend the bridge and plant on the 2nd set of doors before you are even able to get close enough to hit them... ive seen it result in a team winning in a little under 2 minutes... There was no chance for anyone to diffuse the 2nd bomb or stop them from lowering the bridge, whole team was in a completely different section of the ship so we couldnt get close at all... very annoying

You do realize that is the way most times people find a gap to plant right?

 

Kill the other team and then try to cap lol.

 

If they change that well , yeah you wont let them plant it , but neither you will ever plant it later hehe.

 

PS: Now that i think about it , must be a troll thread.

I timed it once when I died and respawned with four full quadrants left on the door lock. It was 26 secs. I always felt like the door time was longer than huttballs door and wanted to see for sure.

I don't think you understand the point of Voidstar.

 

It's not meant to be a fair fight. The attackers are supposed to win. The shield is part of their advantage. The only question is, how fast they can do it, and how long the defenders can delay the inevitable. That's why you get to switch sides. Voidstar is a game with attacker's advantage.

 

The opposite to this would be Alderaan. In Alderaan, the defenders have the advantage, because they spawn closer to the objective. Alderaan is a game with defender's advantage.

 

Huttball is equal.
