Weaken mind damage

Hi I'm a level 40 sage in the balance tree with "will of the jedi" and "drain thoughts" spec'd. "Drain thoughts" does update the tool tip when spec'd into FYI.

 

Sever force lists 1033 damage, ticks on cast and every 3 seconds for a total 7 ticks @ 148 damage on a low level mob: that's 1036 which rounds correctly.

 

Weaken mind lists 982 damage and damages not on cast, but every 3 seconds for 5 total ticks @ 164 damage on the same mobs as above: that's only 820 total. Both are internal damage.

 

I bring this up because if weaken mind were to tick 6 times that would be 984 damage: in line with the tool tip of 982. Obviously there is an error in either the tooltip or the damage output of weaken mind.

 

Does anyone know of an upcoming fix for this?

The tool tip has never been correct when you take the talents for extending the duration of Weaken Mind and Mind Crush. Each tick of damage does the same amount as before, but you get extra ticks of damage with the talents, meaning they do more damage over a longer period. The tool tip has never shown this correctly. Not sure if they plan to fix it soon.

Im only lvl 40, thus I dont have the extended duration on weaken mind.

 

What I'm saying is that the normal weaken mind ticks 5 times for damage, and if you add it up it's less than the tooltip, which assumes 6 ticks of damage for some reason.
