Pashgan Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 (edited) When player was killed recently game output message like John Doe was killed recently and worth no valor. But all of a sudden I see messages like No valor. No valor. No valor. No valor. No valor. What the hell is this?! How to avoid this? (besides obvious mass suicide) Edited February 26, 2012 by Pashgan

Mofotrey Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Wait three minutes between attacks. It's kind of stupid, but that's just how it works.

I didn't know about 3 minutes rule. Probably it's Bioware's solution to fix faction imbalance by neutralizing some players. Thought as I understand watching mass suicides - both faction affected at once. Edited February 26, 2012 by Pashgan

Yeah, basically, once you die, it takes three minutes before you're worth valor again, and like you said, it's most likely Bioware's way to prevent camping and farming by the superior side. Instead, the other side has a chance to regroup. That's why you see people line up on either side of a bridge and wait... Every three minutes the majority of the enemy are going to give valor, but if you keep attacking, you're wasting your time with kills worth nothing.

Bioware patched in controls to try and stop exploiting in Ilum, as near as we can all figure what is being encountered by OP is what Bioware consider working as intended. It's the unwritten rule book for Ilum PvP. I think they did it to try and cap valour gains.
