JStur
I am new to this game. I need a Graphics card though. I want to have one that has a vga and dvi output though. What would be my best choice for something like that? I could spend $200. My specs as of now are: AMD Phenom II X4 965 6 GB DDR3 RAM 650W PS

JStur
Will I still get good graphics if I use the vga to dvi converter?
jarjarloves
Will I still get good graphics if I use the vga to dvi converter? yeah that won't have any real affect on it if you got a little extra cash go for the 560 TI as others have said. if not then the other 560 will be fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130604

They always seem really slow at getting new drivers out.

I completely agree; my last 2 cards have been EVGA's. I have a evga 460 gtx and the game runs great. I would go with the 560 gtx or ti as others have suggested. I definitely appreciate ATI's bang for the buck too (possibly better than nvidia), but I have had bad luck with their cards for whatever reason. EVGA + Nvidia is a great combo. Wrong time to say that mate... I also love Nvidia and dislike ATI, but look at the latest Nvidia drivers: Version: 285.62 WHQL Release Date: 2011.10.24 If anyone is slow on the software it's Nvidia right now. grueber
Really indifferent to either maker. They both have their pros/cons. The only thing I look for in a card besides the model number is an aftermarket cooler. Stock cooling sucks in terms of noise and cooling.
dnomz
Actually they've released several Betas in the meanwhile that are working and functioning very well. I'm running 295.51 With emphasis on 'beta'. There's a reason why it's a beta and they haven't decided to release it as the latest live drivers. I actually did have problem with one of the latest beta drivers. My PC froze at some point and turned all greenish, typical GPU problem.
