Digitalnamshub
This question is two fold. I realize a greyed out mission is below your level, but what do the other colors mean? And why will a mission be greyed out where you pick up the missions on your bridge but on the galaxy map they have colors? Second part, why does it show one set of XP as soon as you finish the mission and then a different total when you are back on your bridge? Is one a typo? Do you get both? redfurry
Grey - way below your level, you get only 5XP. Green - a bit below your level, you get reduced XP. Yellow - about your level. Orange - a bit above your level, extra XP (but probably extra difficulty). Red - way above your level. That is the general rule for all kinds of missions. The double reward is because you get one reward for completing the space mission, per se, and another one for completing the daily mission which objective is to run the space mission. If you repeat the space mission without picking up the daily, or if you pick up a daily mission that requires two space missions and complete only one, you get only one reward. I have never really noticed the color coding for space missions in the space map, so I do not know the answer to that.

SturmUndSterne
The color of the mission from the space map is meaningless to XP. I think it has to do with the style of mission you fight. Escort: Blue Station Defense/Assault: Red Fleet actions: Grey I could be wrong, but I can't see the menus right now.

If you want to gauge difficulty check the mission from your quest log. They share the same color grade as any other quest. Sasheria
Your mission log will show you the difficulty of a mission. If it is gray, you only get 5XP BUT you still get full credit. I am at level 45 and do only 4 daily space mission (8 mission) I skip the two lower level one and earn around 70k credit in about 1 hour flight (give or take. most mission are 4min to 8 minutes long.
