AurioDK
I mean, on my server there are a lot on nice goody two shoes siths, who do nothing but please those in need. Siths serve the dark side and please do join the discussions on the other board regarding this issue, its not to be discussed here. But wouldnt a quest which leads to betrayal and a change of sides be a good idea? I actually dont know, but at least it would help the republic on many servers, where they seemingly are vastly outnumbered, knowing that not everyone would change sides because of guildaffiliations and all that. Your oppinion? ... and wether gamemechanics would allow such a transition is also questionable.
Sparklehorse
I understand implementation of this would probably be extremely difficult but the idea itself is not entirely bad. Would be an interesting way to handle balance.
flyersfan
I don't think game mechanics would allow it, so it just won't happen. This game has too many instanced areas with too much emphasis on story for this type of thing to be possible at the drop of a hat. Much more would have to go into it than it's worth. -Glyndo-
With the heavy use of voice acting, the only way you could make a betrayal work without hours upon hours of new content would be to work it in after the end of the class story. Whether it's the smuggler/bh switching due to moral obligations or more money, or the agent/trooper defecting, etc. Believe me, I will be first in line if/when they allow smugglers to work for the Empire. (I know the agent is the mirror, but the smuggler feel more fluid to me)
Daeborn
The only game I know of with something like this is EQ2. It took a few years to implement, but they did.
AurioDK
A lot of us are already betrayers, sure, siths do good stuff once in a while, but a sith who allows a jedi to escape, helps the poor and ends up at lvl 40-50 with no darkside points whatsoever .... thats more of a betrayer than a sith. The same thing could be said for Jedi serviing the republic with the opposite tag. It would have to be an expansion pack allowing you to betray, perhaps named: The betrayal ..... it could be an expansion based on exclusive missions to help betrayers or the opposite, saving your empire/republic. In the end everyone would have something to do and it wouldnt be a bad story to start with ... who betrays who?

DuffAlmighty
The idea of the sith is power. If people get power through good, you should respect it
