Aggro Management and General Survival Ability at level 50

JK Guardian aggro management compared to trooper and his overall survival abillity is weak. Its true, admit it. I've way too often at least in HMs dps ranged class to steal my threat during trash fight and if not waiting at least 5 seconds, also during boss fight. I suggest this:

 

- Increase threat while in Soresu form

- Make Guardian Slash produce high amount of threat

 

About survival ability:

 

- In Soresu form, increase armor to 80%

- More damage absord by Blade Barrier

 

More suggestions? Guardians, stand united!

Honestly we just have too many abilities they say "this aids in survivability" but can't be used on bosses. When i'm fighting elites or champs that have no boss immunity i'm fine on threat and health. We have 2 stuns one that gens threat and force push plus a 3rd stun on force leap, and blade barrier. The problem is we can't use all this awesome crap that is supposed to let us survive when it comes to a boss, I never have any problems holding hate over a boss, but taking a hit as well as a trooper, can't do it. On anything less I can out live any trooper 99 times out of 100. The class honestly just needs a skill tree overhaul.

 

It's the only tank with no additional armor % talent. We have no way of getting more endurance like the Shadow and Trooper in our tree. It's the only tank with no pull threat gen ability (Harpoon/Force Pull) instead we got Hilt Strike which is melee only, Vanguard get Storm and Shadow get Force Speed so our Force leap does not make up for this loss nor does Saber Throw as the Shadow can TK throw from 30 m and Trooper can do tons from that range. The shadow gets Slow Time Vanguard gets tons of aoe to choose from, we get no answer to that on a threat level. Our tree is just pooh pooh.

That being said on a threat level I would like to see our talent "Command" get a change that makes Cyclone Slash generate a high amount of threat. To make this fair, it should also have it's focus cost changed to 3 and put a 4 second cool down on it and buff it's damage by at least 100%. Currently this ability is lack luster and most people I talk to don't train it and take it off their bar.

 

Also get rid of Hilt Strike, we can't use the stun when it matters anyway, just get rid of it and give us Force Pull...we're Jedi too it makes no sense that we don't use this ability. Don't tell it's from a PvP stand point because we have Force Push, they aren't the same thing and it's not like we can do Force Push 30 yards out. All tanks in this game should have a pull/threat mechanic. I have a Shadow at 40 and Vanguard at 33 and trust me you do miss it when you play Guardian.

 

Also boost both AOE and Single taunt to 8 seconds, 6 is a little ridiculous for any class, even the trooper. This isn't needed, it's more of a quality of life buff that any class would love.

 

Also I do agree with Guardian Slash having a threat gen attached, that is needed. That covers a ranged threat gen, a melee/AOE threat gen, and a single target melee threat gen. As far as being able to survive, it needs to be in our talent tree not really Soresu, but taking away the loss of focus in Soresu would be nice...

I have a lvl 50 Tankasin just started on my Guardian, but isnt it pretty much agreed upon that Guardians/Juggers have the highest mitigation out of all the tanks? (and their survivability CD's are off the hook). What they lack are good threat generation abilities. Edited by MellowHype
