Furthermore, why should I (a person who GLADLY and HAPPILY rolls tanking and healing classes) have to pay 'big credits' to switch specs just to make questing a little bit less painful? After all, if it weren't for us tanks and healers, you dps classes wouldn't be able to run your FPs would you? DPS player is mad because there aren't enough tanks or healers and wants to PUNISH tanks and healers for wanting to switch specs, thereby shrinking the pool of tanks and healers. Makes terrible, typical sense, don't it? Roll a frickin tank or healer and stop crying about the shortage and learn to play. Any fool can dps. You don't need tanks in pvp. Really that simple. Pve is it. So if they want to do well there, that IS their job. No respec. Same with healers. You want dps to dps, then that is our job, nothing else.. Really because I'm pretty sure my team likes it when I decrease your teams DPS by a significant amount with AoE taunts and Wither. I'm also sure teammates love it when I put guard on them. So yeah Tanks are plenty useful in PvP. Tank gear in pvp well that is another story all together because atm it's useless. Tanks however are not. Also, no you shouldn't get to do more dps, because you know what there are 2 Pure dps classes in the game (4 if you count Mirrors) each one has a significantly different play style per spec, so an Agent can go from amazing Single target dps on bosses (sniper) to amazing AoE dps on trash (Engineer). So guess what dual spec isn't worthless to you, infarct it makes you more of an asset to your group because you can change based on the situation. So don't be stupid. I see that you can respec whenever you want by going to the fleet or capital and talking to someone. Why punish everyone by letting a DPS tank when hes never tanked before just so he can get in a group faster. Its wasting everyone else time. You say if you pick a DPS class then you should just dps.. Fine and good. Then hold the same standards.. You want to tank or heal, then do that.. Pick one of the three and go with it.. What are you worried someone will out play you as dps then when they are needed will switch to healer and Tank and be useful still out playing you. That's what it sounds like. I hope you realise that without people going through the trouble of playing and levelling the tanks and the healers "you" the DPS wouldn't get "anywhere" ??? A bit of decency towards healers and tanks is in order... Perhaps 2 million creds upfront and you're then entitled to pay just 10% of the usual respec costs per switch with two saved templates. This should increase the supply of pure dps rather than part-timers taking a dps role to fill a vacant spot. Yes my server has mostly tanks and healers.
