Karandor
Right click the icon you use to launch the game, goto compatability, disable visual themes and desktop composition and make sure it is run as administrator. Should help a fair bit.

Rogoo
There's really not much you can do about it. A single 6870 is not really powerful enough to run this game. But it's not because your rig is bad, it's because the game engine is broken and unoptimized.
drazkedath
Yeah, I would just rather have a steady 38-40 fps then having 70 at times then below 30 lol its the big fluctuation that creates me stutter
Catch_TwentyTwo
Drivers, Drivers, Drivers? I have a Nvidia 430GT 1Gb and people kept telling me that it wasn't up to running this game properly. I was getting serious stuttering all the time. Yesterday I downloaded the latest drivers and now I'm back up to smooth gameplay and the quality has improved no end as well. Just a thought.
