ericdjobs Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 Yeah I have a feeling that Pyrotech Powertechs have the best damage potential in the game, bar none.. be that PvE or PvP I feel an amazingly played Marauder is close or equal, but... I don't know. The sheer amount of damage our railshots put out is a bit ridiculous with 90% armor pen. I can definitely see an internal cooldown getting put on Railshot procs I'll be honest, right now I feel completely overpowered in PVP. I cannot be beat 1 on 1. Please be more specific than "Rakata/Columi gear".... I know it will take you a bit of time to set the post up but lots of BHs will thank you for it. I have also noticed you have BIOCHEM as a crew skill which is also contributing to your high crits/dmg. I'm in Champion/Rakata gear with original mods and I cannot crit past 4.1K with 15% expertise buff and relics turned on. What am i doing wrong??? I'd believe he used a minimal amount of AOE. I'd be more concerned with how badly his team lost, yet he has such a low amount of deaths. Meaning he probably wasn't much of a team player and ran off to get healed by a pocket healer(s) instead of playing the objective. ...Meaning he got a lot more time to do damage, for the people who haven't caught on. Still impressive though. Most kills in shortest amount of time. It's true, my kills are so much higher because I only died once and was ripping people apart. I didn't use DFA I was too busy railshoting. Why DFA when you can do more single target. Which is what I said it was. Also math wise. Full Voidstar Round is 7:30, they did a full game with no side wnning so we are looking at 15 minutes tops. Going off of 50 Kills again, he would have had to had an endless supply of players that he killed in at MOST 18 seconds (while being healed to full and heat going to 0 instantaneously) to achieve that amount with just single target. Which without TD his burst would be lower so he would kill single target slower then a TD Build. (Not to mention he'd need almost 100% proc rate on rail shot resets to practically achieve this) While I said again, it is an impressive amount of damage. Trying to pass it off at it being single target only though (since he even made a separate thread about it) is asinine and gives bad advice to people looking at specs and what they can do. Okay first of all nubcakes, if i had been aoeing I would have more kills than lives worth of dmg done. If I aoe 5 people for 500 dmg each and they all die I get 2500 dmg done for 5 kills, the more AOE you do the MORE kills you get for dmg done. In this game I did about 15000 dmg per kill, which means for each person I had a hand in killing I did dmg equal to a normal players entire health pool. ie I DIDN'T AOE. TD builds are not as powerful as my build. TD is *overrated* yeah I said it. It doesn't do enough dmg to warrant a loss of 6% crit and 9% aim on other abilities. TD wastes 3 points because the last 2 points in pyro before getting TD aren't dmg causing effects, TD is not worth 3 points worth of dmg. Beyond that. I did 750k dmg in 15 minutes, this works out to 1400 dmg per gcd. I do about a k with FB 1600 with RP and 2k on a non crit Railshot, so yeah with crits it's fairly easy to do this without aoeing. In conclusion you don't know what you're talking about. And yes I had a constant flow of enemies, and yes I had a pocket healer, obviously. It was pre-surge nerf. As it happens I grabbed my stats earlier on today. 59 valor so no BM gear, mostly champ gear with some orange armour as BH pvp gear is fugly.
